Welcome.... This is a thread created for January 2014 Broward College students and others who are interested in there ADN program. We all have so many questions and concerns about the program.
We are 7-8 months away from sitting in the first class of the January 2014 nursing program. What have you been doing to prepare for this? What pre-req's do you have left to take? What inspired you to become a nurse? Is BC your first school of chose? Are there any other programs your interested in?

I went on CEUfast.com and wanted to know what I should choose under Course Categories? Once I select which one it is, how would l be able to make sure that it has the FL BON #? The only course I need to take is the OSHA/TB, and I really don't want to sit in for that. Thanks.[/quote']Please explain what you are seeing on that screen.
I do have financial aid but not much. Most of the time I have to cover the remaining balance of my tuition.
just be careful with fin aid. your over all percentage complete has to be over 67% to be eligible for fin aid. each time you fail a class (with a F, a D wont effect your %, but you'll need to repeat it) or with draw, it brings down your percentage. If you change your class to AUDIT you will be required to repay back the fin aid. I had 4 F's for A&P 1&2 plus lab the first time around. But I got B's in Lect and A's in lab the 2nd time around. I was at pre-adm with in 20 mins of turning in my application. Just make sure you do well in the math and kick butt the 2nd time around. So my advice to you is try for a D and retake the classes. Good Luck!! I got in with A&P 1 lect=B, A&P 1 Lab=A, A&P 2 lect=B, A&P 2 Lab=A, Liberal Arts math= A, and Eng 1101=A and 10 pts
