Hi!
I didn't see a thread for this and wanted to start something up. I have read up on discussions online, talked to people I know, and watched some youtube videos to see how other are doing. I just basically want to know where everyone is at in the admission process. What are your teas scores? Have you applied? Which program ASN or LPN?
Thanks and good luck!

I'm all of a sudden super nervous that my high school transcript won't be accepted. I took the California High School Proficiency Exam and received a diploma from the state, so I just copied the transcript which said I received a PASS grade from the California Department of Education. I hope they honor it!
Ok the campus i applied to said you cant apply until youve taken the classes needed for the points when determining if you get in. So everything was done by dec last year and this semester i took my teas. My advisor at the main campus said they could be factored in after turning in app. But the nursing building said no. I feel like sometimes its all unorganized.

They were wrong. The nursing booklet says for Fall Admissions prerequisite courses must be completed by the end of the previous Spring semester. So if you were enrolled in a prerequisite now, the grade would be factored into your Fall application, but you had to have it finished this semester, Summer would be too late.
Maybe all campuses are different, but this is not the way it is at my college. As long as you have taken and are enrolled and completing your prereqs you are allowed to apply. I know for a fact this is ok because I am doing it I am in aphy 101 and aphy 102 this summer and already applied and both my advisor and the nursing coordinator have told me I could apply. I know they start sending out asn letters may 31 and they give those people a like 10 days to respond then send out lpn. That is the process in Evansville Indiana at Ivy Tech.

I applied to the Lawrence campus with A's in APHY101 and Psych101 and a B in English. I took English back in '05 and really don't wanna bother with it again, but I will if I don't get in this time. I scored 86 on the TEAS, so my score is 141/160. It could be better, but let's hope it's good enough :)
