Thank you everybody for your ebcouragement. I ended the class with an eighty percent.
So it looks like if I stay here in Anderson I will not even be able to apply until Spring semester 09. I am so discouraged and frustrated.

That's still a B! That's not bad for Anatomy! Don't be discouraged. Why can't you apply until spring of 09?

Just got my grades for my lab final today...88%...not too bad considering I could have spent a LOT more time studying and not slacking off! Leaves me with an 84%- B. I will take it! On to 102! Have a great holiday ladies and woohoo the semester is pretty much over!!!

It takes an 82 to get a B in 102. Right??? Anyway, they tell you that you need straight A's to get in. Imagining a B would squeak in, figuring a C would not.

Maybe I will just scrap school and be the elephant pooper scooper at the zoo. LOL.

I think it is an 80. Do you have A's in all your other classes? If so, you might be fine.
Are you wanting to do the LPN or RN? For the LPN, a B would probably get you in. For the RN, depending on what campus you are going to. For the Lawrence campus, I know one person who had a B and got into the RN because of her Teas Score. I think she had an 89. She started out as an alternate, but because some people weren't there at roll call for orientatation, she got into the RN program. I know a couple of people who didn't get in the Lawrence RN program, but got into the RN program at Columbus, Kokomo, Richmond, etc.

I bought all my books used (but all really new, no marks) mostly from Amazon.com. I paid $571 for the same bundle. At least it was from the list they gave at orientation. (Lawrence) I know they wanted us to buy from Ivy, but, hey, a dollar is a dollar. Makes me feel rebellious too!

good for you! :yeah: i was going to do that but i am short on funds and i was worried that the used books might be missing additional materials like cd's or codes for online programs :confused: . i am still trying to get over the whole $700.00 thing. :eek: :scrying: :bluecry1: :down:

Double checked my syllabus. It does say 82 for a B.

I was hoping to get into the RN program here in the Anderson/Muncie region. They only do applications in Spring for Fall program.

Havent taken my TEAS yet. Hope that will be pretty good. I have A's in ENG 111, and PSYC 101.

No its an 80. Which campus did you take it at?

90-100 is an A

80-89 is a B

A "B" is still enough to get in!! Don't be discouraged. I know many people who had all As and 1 B and still got into the program.

edit:

That's weird that its an 82 for a B. The only grading scales I know are 80-89 is a B or 86-92 is a B. Never 82...it doesn't have a list of points to show you what you would get? Like for our class if we got 480-539 points it was a B for the class.

Just so you know, they won't accept an IVY 0XX class for graduation. You have to take an IVY 1XX class. It needs to be a 100 course. They also recommend the Ivy 105 class, which I believe is Critical Thinking. However, I took Ivy 101 and it was super easy (done online).

I am already set to take 105 in the spring. I was just looking at adding another one to bump it up to full time for financial aid. 105 is managing personal finances :)
