I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

Does anyone know anything about these courses?

Advanced Medical Terminology MEAS 215

Diseases & Conditions MEAS 242

Pharmacology MEAS 218

Medical Law & Ethics HLHS 105

Lifespan Development PSYC 201

Child Growth & Development ECED 120

Child & Adolescent Development EDUC 121

I need two "fillers" to reach part time status...In summer 2009 I'm going to take Micro and need a filler to go with it and also one to go with Advanced Physio for Fall 2009.

Any advice, guidance, comments?

Okay, I have asked this before...but I have a question LOL

I have both the Stedman's Medical Dictionary and Mosby's. (Mosby's came for HLHS 101)

Do I need to hold on to either one, or will I receive one in my nursing bundle?

I am selling my textbooks from this semester and wouldn't mind selling at least one of the dictionaries since I don't need two of them. Any ideas?

Also- anyone take FITN 100? I figured it would be an easy fluff class for this coming semester. I am actually taking 5 courses due to an issue that keeps me from taking IVY 105 in the summer and the need for my OBannon grant. I am taking those and CINS 101. I think I remember some of you girls saying that CINS is a really really easy class. Any tips?

Mosby's is one that we have to purchase separate from the bundle. I can't remember if Stedman's is in the bundle.

I guess it depends on the campus. We got stedman's in our bundle. I prefer Taber's over either of these and have it on my PDA, I rarely use the stedmans. I would say pick the one you like the most. I only use mine when I need to look something up that the book doesn't give enough info on. We have not used it in class, so I doubt you would either.

hey everyone. just checking in on all the soon to be nursing students. how is everything coming along? i am in need of a vacation. :bugeyes: i just paid for uniforms and equipment, now i am getting my books together. so far the cost of my books is over $700.00!?!??!? :banghead: :urgycld:does this sound crazy? i was not prepared for all the expenses. well, like i said i just wanted somewhere to vent. semester almost over for me so maybe i can relax a little, lol.:lol_hitti:tbsk:

I picked up half of my books,(all that I could carry at once) the total will be $950. My shots and doc were $107, background check $77.

Uniforms and shoes will have to wait til January. Whew:dzed:

Everyone say a little prayer for me. My ANP 101 final is tonight. I have studied till everything is running together and nothing makes sense. LOL.

Got an A on my psych final and overall for class. Just have to hold my A in 101 then on to 102.

How was the first semester of the nursing program (other than busy)?

wow!!! $950.00 oh my! which campus?? i remember you saying something about valpo.:eek: i can not believe your background check was $77 dollars. we only paid $7.00!!!! my uniforms were like close to $300 but that includes shoes, bp cuff, stethoscope, and 3 complete uniforms. this money situation is tight right now so close to the holidays. :reindeer:

good luck on your final!!!! i'm not in the program yet but i am sooooo glad this semester is close to being over!!!! no more english, lol!!!:yeah::D

i'm going to the lawrence campus and i got my books today. everything including the two optional books was a little over $700.00. i'm picking my uniforms up tomorrow, but i haven't gotten a stethoscope or shoes yet. may do that tomorrow as well. i also have to get glasses because i know i'm going to be doing a lot of reading. if i weren't starting the program, i probably would have put it off a little while longer, but i don't want to wear my eyes out more than they already are!!!

i had my last test today, in micro, so i'm excited. going to do christmas shopping this week.

i hope everyone has a good break. january 12th will be here before we know it.

Ugh are you at Lawrence? Lecture SUCKED and was officially the worst test of the semester. I had As on every single lecture test until this one...I had a 79. I take lab tomorrow and I know what to expect so hopefully I do better on that. I know I will be getting a B in the class though:(

Thank you everybody for your ebcouragement. I ended the class with an eighty percent. :cry:

So it looks like if I stay here in Anderson I will not even be able to apply until Spring semester 09. I am so discouraged and frustrated.
