I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

I e-mailed the nursing director yesterday and asked her if she could tell me what # alternate I am on the list. She said that I'm number 5, but that a few people have declined their seats, so I'm quickly moving up. She also said she's going to check the list after the acceptance date of Oct. 3 and then will be contacting alternates. Wish me luck!!!

I have two questions :)

1. Could I ask when your disbursement date was? I just want to get an idea of when I will get mine this semester...I know they cut checks Monday for the grant overages. I only worry because I have 900 (going on 1300) dollars in child support sitting SOMEWHERE and can't touch it because Texas never sent Indiana the support order! I am pretty broke!

2. How do you like 201? That is what I was planning on taking in the Fall of 09 and they suggested it. Is it pretty interesting?

Hi Kgle--I got my check in the mail on Tues. 9/23...I think it was dated the 10th or something like that. Lord knows I needed it...I was starting to sweat a little bit! You gotta love how broken the child support system is...it made my mom's life hell when I was a kid!

201 is ok. I liked 101 and 102 better, but it's not bad. My prof is pretty hard core, and we just took our first test on Tues and I don't know what I got on it yet. I'll tell you how I really like the class after I get my grade :rolleyes:

But really--I am learning a lot, although I don't know if I'll ever really use a lot of it. Make sure that you have lots of time to study!!!!! The test wasn't the easiest one I've ever taken!!!

Hey Sah-

I have all my co-rereqs taken care of except one psych course. In anticipation of hitting it hard in the Spring, I took this semester off. I took A & P 101 and Psych 101 last spring (already had taken psych like 20 years ago, but got a "C") and then A & P 102 on campus this summer and Eng 111 (online- also "C" forever ago, but knew I needed to pull it up). I got burned out after the summer so am taking it easy this semester. I think I'll take that last psych class online next summer in-between semesters if I get in.......

I took 102 this summer as well! It was a blast (not really). At least there were fun people there to help me get through it! You lucky dog...I would love to be off this semester. I have a feeling that next semester (assuming I get it) will be a bear. Guess I better start eating my Wheaties now.

that is so funny! i hope i get in in january, because if i do not, i have to take math 118 :nono:. i have a friend who hated it also! you are not alone. i do not want to take a drop more of math than i need, know what mean?:smackingf

Just got back from the mailbox.....sigh***** I HATE WAITING!!!!:banghead:

It seems like all my mail has stopped. I am so consumed with the mail. I have not even been receiving junk mail. Now that's crazy! I think just the anticipation is slowly getting to me. No financial aid refund either. What is going on, Ivy tech????????????????:anbd::plsebeg::luvnltr:

It sucks that you guys are feeling this way about waiting for letters. I know I went through the same thing you are. I do know that it was way over a week after the suggested mail date that I even got anything from any of the campuses. And at least two weeks from that date (May 30th) when I got my final letter.

Just be patient! It'll come.... eventually. :rolleyes:

Ohhhhh...I don't want to hear anything like that! I NEED the letter, like, yesterday. You're supposed to say, "I got my letter a week before they said it would come!" or something like that! It's like slow and painful torture:crying2:

I know, I know!! Sorry!! And you are definitely right, it IS slow and painful torture!! It's awful waiting! Good luck on your wait though... you are going to make it!!!! ;) I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya!

lol! That is SO true! I mean, I wish there was enough "Other mail" in there for me to actually LOOK through so my anticipation might be founded. Now it's usually 1 flyer, 2 bills and a coupon for pizza....WAHHHH!!!!!:bluecry1: :sniff:

it would be nice to get my sl disbursement between now and then. that comes in one of those perforated thingies, so i will know what that is as soon as i see it. i think i might spontaneously combust if they send me anything in an ivy tech envelope, and it's not the letter!
