I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

Imagine, make sure the Life Skills course you take counts for the nursing program. I took Ivy 070 last semester and was not happy when I found out that particular Life Skills course doesn't count for our ASN program. Now, I have to retake it.

I thought they all counted?!?! I want to take the health and wellness one. I will ask to make sure....thanks for the advice.

I have always taken night classes. I am taking one day class this semester, it will be the first time.

for all of you that still have to take adv physio (ANP 201) it was pretty easy doin the summer class at lawr. The instructor is great! and knows very well the limited amount of time during summer. I've heard it's easier in summer, and with how well everyone did (60 ppl or so) I can't argue. highly recommend her!!!!!

aside from that, did everyone see week 1 homework for fundamentals?? :chuckle

Thanks to everyone for the good luck wishes. I am so ticked though. I was told today at the Gary campus that I could only apply to one campus for ASN traditional program. I told the woman that the counselor told me I could apply to both. She said NO and that is how it has always been. I really think she is wrong! Has this happened to anyone else? I was hoping to apply to Gary and Valpo but she says I must pick ONE! :no::urgycld:

I had the same thing happen to me, I spoke with the woman at Valpo and she told me to apply at Gary first then just dont tell them you are going to apply at Valpo. I got into both and called gary and told them I was accepting at Valpo. They were alittle s**** about it, but oh well! I start Monday at Valpo!!!!!!! Good luck and go to both. :yeah:

We could apply to all the available programs in my region. I chose to only apply at Logan, because I couldn't see myself traveling to the other campuses. But, our nursing office gave us as many applications as we wanted.

I think that stinks that they are limiting you. I probably would do as gymmom suggested (just don't tell)

I got the 1st block but I think we all have pharm together. I can't believe they sent the wrong books! I am a little annoyed with everything right now. I went to turn in my papers a couple weeks ago and they told me about the new background checks. So i turned it in and they gave me the drug test papers, so I went all the way out to Merrillville and they gave me Quest Lab papers instead of Labcorp. SO Labcorp wouldn't take it. So after 3 days of calling and emailing the nursing department I finally went in there because no one would call or email back. The lady said "Oh we gave you the wrong paper. Here's the right one. You have to go BACK to Merrillville." Hopefully everthing starts to go more smoothly. I did go to the bookstore today to get my patches but the nurse kits aren't in yet.

You think your already annoyed, I already opened my pharm book, because one of the girls in the program already told me that I better start reading before class starts, so Im out the 79 that I paid for that. I also did the drug testing last week. And paid one of my daughters friends mom to sew the patches on. I did call the school to ask where to put them, because I heard different from different people. They said over your heart on the shirts and on the left arm of the jacket.. Well good luck and we'll see ya on monday! My pharm class is from 9-12. :nurse:

Nursehopeful09, imagine3200 good luck on your applications!

The syllabi for my 100. 101. 106 classes got posted on blackboard today. It is not too awful bad but, I'm scared anyway.

100~chapter 1 needs to be read (not bad) week 2- 5,6,7 & handout due

101~chapter 4 needs to read week 2 a quiz and start skill check offs. & math handout due

106~chapters 1,2,4 need to be read week 2 TEST #1 & chapters 5 & 6

If mine is part time, I'm sure you guys are twice as busy. My hat is off to you guys!

I'm also taking Micro and an online computer class, that looks like it will be pretty easy. I think I'l be all right. (trying to talk myself into it)

I am so excited, scared, nervous !!! Here we go!!!

wishn, what campus are you doing part time on?
