I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?

Hey where on your uniforms did you guys have to put your Ivy Tech ASN patches? We won't get our handbooks until class tomorrow and I know they have to go on the left arm. I'm just confused as to whether I need to put a patch on my class uniform/polo shirt. It already has the Ivy Tech ASN embroidered on it. Just curious. I'm sure no one else at Gary will have their patches on tomorrow either.

In Valpo we dont have to wear uniforms to class, so we dont have the polos. But on our scrubs we had to put the patches on our left arm of the lab coat, and on the left front of our scrub top, over the heart. I paid a lady to put them on. I cant sew a button on a shirt. Well good luck!!!! l

Everyone needs to let us know how thier first day goes.

It must be different at each campus. In Muncie our patches go on our left sleeve and that's it. We don't have class uniforms or anything like that.

Uniform House did all the patches and everything from Indy. I'm kinda confused about the uniform thing. Can anyone at Indy clarify? For Fun. Lab, we can wear street clothes but just have to wear the lab coat? OR we can wear the whole uniform? What about Fundamentals and Pharm? Do we have to wear the uniform to those classes?

I'm kinda happy we have to wear uniforms to class. Although their not pretty (hunter pants/warmup with tan polo), I'm not gonna have to be picking things out to wear early in the morning.

This is the way it was last semester:

For lab we could wear street clothes, and our lab coat OR the uniform. Make sure you always wear your name tag. I dressed both ways, it just depended on my mood!

No uniform needed for Fundamentals and Pharm, but if you have your lab and lecture the same day you can just wear to lecture whatever you wore in lab. =)

I lucked out and at least for the first 5 weeks, my Lab days are M,W and that's the only class.

When MedSurg begins, is it kinda the same deal? Uniform only required for Lab? What about the MedSurg lecture class?

Also....those uniforms....geesh! I hope it shrinks a little bit the more I wash it because I got an XS and I feel like WeeMan wearing it. It swallows me!

Does anyone know the dates of the Columbus Nursing Info sessions, or who I can contact to find out? I want to attend one, but can't find anything about them online, and can't find a contact number.

the only number I can find is the 800 number and it is automated.

We didn't really do a whole lot today. Hanwashing, gloves and gowns, double bagging specimens, etc.

It was mostly a run down of what to expect in lab. I had a big case of nerves this morning and felt like I was gonna throw up. LOL

It's all good though.
