I beefed up my summer course load and plan to take MAT 118, COM 102, and IVY 104, all online. Anyone else taking these?
618 Days Til Graduation!!! Hee Hee
No doubt! I knew this was going to be hectic but woah! I'm kinda bummed we don't have any classes together.
I've always been kind of a loner but so far I've really hit it off with everyone. People are a lot friendlier than what I expected....here's to hoping it stays that way! LOL
We're starting to form a study group....something I've always kinda been ehhhh on. It's nice to see that others seem to be a focused on getting through this as I am. Prereqs were near impossible to find people that were motivated and willing to stay on task with the study group thing.
Ok...I shouldn't be here, speaking of staying focused. I have a ton of reading to do. 6 hours of lecture tomorow so I want to get a little ahead.
Anyone know if it's a bad idea to use my kids as guinea pigs for vitals practice? I don't wanna do 50 blood pressure checks on them and end up hurting the poor little darlings!! :chuckle
Glad to see I'm not the only one counting down! Are you guys as terrified as I am to start clinicals? It should be interesting...Don't worry Indymom, I had to use my cats for ROM exercises. hahah.:paw:
LOL!!! I'll probably be the one trying to get strangers on the street to stop and let me do assessments on them. Everyone run quickly in the other direction if you see me coming. New nursing students unleashed! They should make a reality show. Like Big Brother.....only....not.
And have you noticed that I'm STILL here? :typing
Ok...FOCUS!!!!!
Tell you what, I'll let you use me (or hey, my 2 year old) if you remember that I will need to use you for when I start the program HAH!
YAY! Can I abuse your veins too?? :smiley_ab (That's the closest I could find to a needle!) LOL!! I'm just kiddin...I'll stick to abusing the very disturbing little rubber men in the lab. I can't hurt them!
This is very scary!
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Kaiser Permanente is telling 960 mothers that they and their babies may have been exposed to a San Francisco maternity ward worker diagnosed with active tuberculosis.
Kaiser announced it had started notifying patients Tuesday about the worker formerly employed in the postpartum unit of its San Francisco Medical Center.
The part-time employee worked at Kaiser from March 10 to August 10 and no longer works for the organization.
Kaiser learned of the employee's diagnosis last week and said the medical center followed all appropriate screening procedures when hiring the employee.
Kaiser's infectious disease chief in Northern California said the infection risk for patients was low and that the worker had a common strain of TB that responds well to antibiotics.
Hello everyone! I had a question for all of you that are in the program at different campuses. I'm currently in the ASN program in Columbus and this is my first semester. Anyway, I wanted to know if any of the other campuses are using a program called myNursingLab to do their Fundamentals lecture, lab and pharm classes?(In case you aren't, it's where I go and take a pre test and a post test for each chapter for each class-except lab.)
Hello! Me again... I'd really like a response regarding my question. So... for those of you at the Indy campus, or any other campus, do you use myNursingLab? If so, what do you think about it?
...We are almost overloaded with resources. I never thought I would have TOO MUCH information helping me with all this info. We have the ATI site, The Point, review modules from ATI, literally just tons of info and I don't even know what to do with all of it yet. It's almost too much, in that it gets confusing trying to decide which resource to pull. I'm sure it will all come together over the next week or so but right now, it's just overwhelming.
