This is the "Not In" thread, or for anyone that's planning on applying for Spring Semester by the Sept 1st deadline.
We need love too! :loveya:
My Boring Stats:
A's in prereq's except ANP 2...taking that class now.
Horribly embarrassing TEAS at 76, still have two more tries. (Which is why I'm taking math and phys sci this summer. lol)
Hope to get into the Bloomington or Terre Haute programs. (Yay! Greene county gets region pts at both. lol)
Currently frazzling myself out with 5 online classes
It's nice to meet you....whoever you are....
I'm going to take that one soon. I read ch 24 this afternoon. Then it will be back to studying for the exam.
Did you all realize we have that cultural paper due next week on the 26th? Do you think when it says 'submit in a folder', does that mean loose in a folder, or bound into a report cover type thing? I wonder if it matters.
Hello all! Glad to see you're all still alive and posting :)
I am caught-up on the reading for the most part, though I still have Ch. 16 & 17 in Fund. to read. Whew....never thought I could read that much in my life! haha! I read 1-5 in Dose Calc but I was able to breeze through a few of the chapters because I passed the pretests. I have been using a calculator because I was under the impression that we would be allowed to have a simple calculator for the exams. I also remember how to do everything longhand b/c of the TEAS, so there's no point in piling on more work for myself, I guess.
Do you guys know if the lab discussion board assignment is due tomorrow by the end of the day, or by the date posted on the actual assignment? I know that sounds like a dumb question, but I was originally under the impression that it was due tomorrow (Monday) for some reason....weird. I thought it was odd that we'd be expected to do that to other people without having properly learned it in lab! Learning from a video is definitely not enough for me...I want someone to "check my work" a few times before I'll consider myself an expert on anything like that!
I love the idea of a new thread, but I don't know how to do it---so if someone ends-up doing it, will you please post the new thread title here?!!
Good luck everyone! One week down.......

Hey Anne, I pulled up the info about the discussion board. It has to be done by January 28.
Hi Tamimay! Well, congrats on taking the first step to becoming an nurse! That's awesome! As for your scores, I know that each campus has different point cutoffs for each program. I'm pretty sure that 3 B's would not work for the ASN (RN) program at Indy, but I'm not sure if it would have maybe worked for the LPN?? You might call the Gary nursing office and see if they'll tell you what the cutoff was for the start of this semester. I'm not sure whether or not they'll tell you, but it's worth a shot. You could also look to see if there's a Gary thread somewhere on here--if you can find a Gary student, he or she might be able to give you some insight as to whether or not those grades will work. My best suggestion is to just apply with whatever you have. The worst that can happen is you will not be accepted and maybe you'll need to take a course or two over again to see if you can get an A. You'll never know until you try. Whatever you decide to do, good luck to you!!
Welcome, Tamimay and good luck!
I had my first lecture exam in aphy102 and I made a 93, woohoo! I had hoped to do better, but at least it's an A. ;-) This coming week we have our first lab exam and I'm a little nervous about that. We have to know all the veins/arteries, etc on the half man and the weird baby models. I think I've got the heart down pat, but I'm a little worried about the other two. Also, we'll have to be able to identify cells in the microscope, etc. I don't think that will be too bad.
All my other classes are going well except for Chemistry. It's kicking my butt! But, the instructor says we're pretty much out of the math section, so hopefully I can bring my grade back up to an A (it's a B at the moment).
How's everyone else doing?

I think that's a good idea. What should it be called?
Is anyone else having trouble getting responses when emailing professors?? I'm getting really frustrated! 3 days so far, and haven't gotten one email.
