I've been reading "allnurses" for several years, never thinking I'd reach this point. So, I never registered. However, after 2-years of night classes the dream of nursing might become a reality. Now, the wait for acceptance/denial begins. It's all come to this point for many of us.
Several years ago there was a forum where people were waiting on THE letter. Why not have one for the folks waiting on 2011? If there IS one I missed it.
We're all in the same boat, all waiting on the letter, and wondering if there was a minor detail overlooked. Was the score high enough? Did my transcript fall through the folder, then get swept under the desk? (That one woke me up last night) In my case, my brain can handle the wait...my stomach/intestines are not doing so well.
Thought this might be a nice thread to vent, support, and otherwise worry with each other for the next couple of months. Near as I can tell, it's going to be 74 days, give or take, before we all know....one way or the other.
Best of luck and keep prayin' I know I am! :)
I found out some not so great news when I went to the nursing office @ Indy on Tues. I went there to ask if you are an alternate would the letter say so. Here comes the bad news...They did not do alternates this time around so if anyone declined their acceptance into the RN program @ Indy/Lawrence they will not be calling or sending out letters for the people next in line. Bummer, there's no hope for me I think I'll be going to J. Everette Light for their LPN program. WOW that really sucks!
"They said they had a lot of applications,.......really?? So did all the other campuses and we had to have our applications in by April 1st, so.....2 months must not be enough time!! lol"
Yes that's funny considering that Indy probably receives the most applicants and they got their letters out in a timely fashion. I mean let's be real what's the point of having a deadline almost 2 months before you put out the letters, yes I understand about the grades for that semester need to be turned in but why not make the deadline further down, towards the end of the semester? It doesn't make sense to me
Hi, I have never posted on here before, but I have been waiting with all of you these past few months. I have cheered for your successes and felt your frustrations and disappointments. It seams only fair that I should post today. I received my letter of acceptance into the ASN program for the Fort Wayne campus today. I received all A's and an 86.7 on the TEAS. I hope this brings some hope to those of you who are still waiting. Good Luck and God bless.
