I've been reading "allnurses" for several years, never thinking I'd reach this point. So, I never registered. However, after 2-years of night classes the dream of nursing might become a reality. Now, the wait for acceptance/denial begins. It's all come to this point for many of us.
Several years ago there was a forum where people were waiting on THE letter. Why not have one for the folks waiting on 2011? If there IS one I missed it.
We're all in the same boat, all waiting on the letter, and wondering if there was a minor detail overlooked. Was the score high enough? Did my transcript fall through the folder, then get swept under the desk? (That one woke me up last night) In my case, my brain can handle the wait...my stomach/intestines are not doing so well.
Thought this might be a nice thread to vent, support, and otherwise worry with each other for the next couple of months. Near as I can tell, it's going to be 74 days, give or take, before we all know....one way or the other.
stilllllllll waiting in South Bend. When I called the lady said they were STILL looking at the applications and had "no idea" when they would be going out. hmmmph. Well isn't that special? My mail man said he is even hoping I get my letter soon. Yesterday as he crossed my yard he shook his head no as he walked toward me. He said if he sees an Ivy Tech envelope he'll run to me..LOL...poor guy feels sorry for me. He said I look like a lost puppy dog sitting on my porch everyday waiting for him. HAH!!
Got the denial letter from Columbus today. It says nursing, so I presume I am still waiting on LPN. This really sucks, but at least my husband is being supportive. That's all that matters, right? Good luck to everyone else!!
