Is there anyone else out there, or is it just me? :)
I'd love to connect with others who are applying for the Fall 2017 nursing program.
I am signed up to complete my prerequisites in the spring. English and Public Speaking are already done with an A, from a prior degree with Ivy Tech. They are also going to waive the IVY112 class because I am an Ivy Tech grad.
So I am signed up for APHY101, MATH123, PSYC101, and SOC111.
On one hand, I can't wait for classes to start! On the other hand, with the Holidays, I know the time is going to fly by.
About me: My degree is in Business Administration and my work history is mostly in accounting, but I've been home with our 3 boys for the past 16 years. We have homeschooled for the past seven years. They all went to public school this year, and they are doing GREAT! Now I need a new direction, as well... I've got maybe 30 years of working ahead of me, and I want to have a solid career. I hated being stuck at a desk. Nursing ~ here we go!
This is a completely different topic and so if it becomes more of a thing, we can make a new page, but I got accepted in the fall at South Bend. Is anyone else going there? I am looking for a roommate and don't really want to look at craigslist. Anyone want to share an apartment?
So I got into Bloomington ASN program and have heard nothing back about orientation so I assume that there are still some seats left. Can't wait to start.
Does anyone know yet when letters will go out if you are not accepted? I'm not hopeful at all this time around seen as how my score is very low. I just want to see the letter saying no so I can move on and try again.
I applied for the Evansville campus & haven't heard anything yet. I'm really scared I didn't make it this term.
Does anyone know how it works if you apply for the ASN & PN program? I applied for both. Thanks for the help! And congrats to those that have been accepted already.

For those still waiting for the final emails for acceptance/denial, has anyone had issues staying in touch with their advisor? Mine mentioned coming into her office to discuss earning a certificate instead and since then, I can't seem to get ahold of her.
i had a 131 total point and was hoping to get into the crown point campus this fall but unfortunately i got a letter last week for the LPN after so many weeks of long waited torture, i didnt post it on here because i was sooo sad and hurt about the LPN and not ASN. I'm an international student and thus, LPN will do me no good at all, plus the LPN isn't a guarantee to get into the program, so it's just a waste of my time and money. well i declined the email yesterday Monday and just this Tuesday morning the dean of nursing called me and told me that there was a spot open for the ASN program if i want in? YES i screamed so she said she would manually send me an email and i would have to accept it by emailing her back, which i just did, I'm so happy and thankful to God, to think that i was so close to accepting the LPN because some people said it was better than nothing but i honestly wasn't having it lol. well as for others still hoping i urge you not to give up hope miracles do happen.
