Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.
And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!
Taranator, I actually thought the real TEAS was easier than the study guide. . . I think if you are studying the math and science out of the ATI guide as well as like www.testpreppreview.com, then you'll do great!
Okay I just tried that link and that is not the same site as I used before, sorry about that! Either I'm remembering it wrong or they changed it.
AHA! it's www.testprepreview.com Click on the TEAS link along the left side margin.
I did okay on the science, but not that great. Strangely enough, I did better on the math than I did on the English, which is weird because very rarely do I make less than a 95 or above in English.
Ugh, anyway, I made an 83% on there. I'm not very happy about it and I will be taking it again in 30 days. Yay, me. LOL

An 83% is still good. But, I am sure it's not good enough to get into your program. I feel your pain, it sucks that almost everything is based on this test for entrance . GOod luck the second time around. Was the science about general science stuff, like what does this organ do, or more in detail? Thanks for the help! And Good luck, I am sure you WILL do better!
Thanks, Melissa! The second time around should be much better; at least I know what to expect now.
The science was over general stuff, but I don't think they asked what an organ does. It had some crazy topographical type stuff that they don't go into in the ati study guide. I didn't think it was that hard, but apparently it was harder than I thought since I didn't do that well! Study as much general science as you can. Earth science, etc.
good job on the TEAS! I understand what you mean--83 is just an 83...but I think that it will help us know what we need to study.
I was stumped on a few of the science--and I'm just not going to even study more on the science..I believe that even if i studied the whole TEAS science section I still wouldn't do that great-to me--the science is either you have it or you dont. I do agree and think that the teas study guide book is harder than the actual TEAS you take.
I am retaking it in March--and praying I raise it up to at LEAST an 89..we will see!

I am right there with you! We need a TEAS study group, lol. I'm just completely bewildered that I did so well in Math...I've kind of had a perma-grin about that....until I think about the other stuff. LOL.
I'll be studying science...a lot of scientific reasoning and physical science. Those are the two things that brought the total score down. Anyone know of any good websites to study this stuff?

Was there a lot on the TEAS that wasn't in the study guide? I've been studying my butt off (science and math mostly) and I'm nervous. I take it tomorrow!!!!
