Hi everyone! I wanted to start a thread for those of us planning on applying by April 1st....
Has anyone taken the TEAS yet? Where are you with your pre-reqs? What campus are you applying to?
I am planning on taking the TEAS in December, so I have enough time to retake it :) and this is my first semester at Ivy Tech. I'm taking APHY 101, ENGL 111, and PSYC 101 all this semester and I will complete APHY 102 next semester. I am planning on applying to Indy.
And good luck to all the Spring 2010 applicants! :yeah:Hope everyone gets in!!!
Make sure you post the info in here! Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't you out of Fort Wayne?
My weekend was great...tailgated yesterday before the game and bit my nails the entire freakin' game! Actually had a weird revelation with my son's dad that may end with us working on a relationship which is just...well...odd. lol.
Nope, I'm out of Evansville. It seems that there aren't that many of us on here. At least that I've found. :-)
Sounds like an interesting weekend, kgle. I hope that working on that relationship is a good thing.
We stayed in most of the weekend. My oldest daughter, who is 13, made her first pie (triple layer pumpkin spice) and it turned out so great! It was really yummy. We played games and watched movies most of the time. It was really relaxing. My 11 year old was at her friends all weekend, so there was no bickering between her the 13 year old. Blessed (almost) silence!
I got an A on the third paper in Comm102. I made a 100% on this week's quiz in Lifespan, and finished up DB's in aphy. I blogged a bit and that was it. Really relaxing. I'm finishing up homework today...not so relaxing. ;-)
Woo...well I am glad everyone else had pretty exciting weekends:) I did absolutely nothing but pay bills and lay in misery (I can't wait until this pregnancy is over!!!)
I am 33 weeks today and I had my daughter at 35 weeks (almost 4 years ago)...so I could potentially deliver in a few weeks. Although I don't want to have another preemie but the doctor seems convinced I will deliver before 36 weeks.
...oh yeah today- went to the doctor and she confirmed I am immune to NOTHING, not even chicken pox! lol, I have no shot records in the state database or Marion County's. So as soon as I have my baby I will have to HURRY and try to get these immunizations by January 12th, before CNA class starts. I am not holding my breath though because these shots require 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd doses. All great news!
APHY 101 MIDTERM THIS WEEK!!! Wish me luck!
Hi everyone :)
I have been a lurker of these boards for awhile but wanted to introduce myself. I am applying for Fall 2010 ASN program at Sellersburg. I am taking APHY 101 and ENGL 111 now and will take APHY 102 and psychology next semester. I haven't taken the TEAS yet and I am a little nervous to take it. My weakness is math and I haven't had a math class in forever. I wanted to wish everyone the best of luck and to see if any other Sellersburg students are on the board as well :)
So far I have an A in anatomy. I still have one more lab quiz, the third exam which is open book, and the final to do. So hopefully I can keep it up :) Did you purchase the TEAS study guide from the bookstore? I haven't gotten one yet but I picked up a couple of other books at Borders to study with. I need to brush up on my math and science. I haven't done any math besides balancing my checkbook in years. It is one of the subjects that I freeze up on. I just have a natural fear of it for some reason. I took college algebra online a few years ago and got an A so I know I can do it if I apply myself
Tara- That is how I felt as well. I am still going to go to another one closer to the April 1st date just to make sure my attendance is accounted for since I went to one back in July.
APHY 101 Midterm Update- I haven't taken the midterm yet...BUT one girl in my class posted in the discussion board that she took it and missed HALF!!! She also said she had been studying through all the material for the past week. I'm like GRRREEAT!!!

Congratulations on having an A so far in APHY 101!! ...I do as of today as well, but I still have the midterm (which I am scared to death of now) and then the third exam and final, plus the remaining discussions and lab quizzes.
I purchased the TEAS study guide from the bookstore that came with the two practices tests online. I took one of the practice tests just to see what I needed to study and of course I need to study Science and then the metric conversions in Math.

Yes I am taking 101 online and will have to take 102 online as well. We have weighted grades but I can't figure out how to calculate the grades. Right now my weighted percentage is 95% and I don't even come up with when I try to do it myself lol.
