I can't believe NS finally starts on Mon. I'm so excited I can't stand it. Fortunately I have a ton of stuff to get done this weekend, including work, so I should be distracted. I know I'm not going to be able to sleep at all on Sun. night
I started as a nursing major 12yrs ago, then switched and got my degree in psychology, before deciding nursing is really what I wanted to do all along. So, it feels like this day was a really, really long time in the making. I can't believe I'm going to be a nurse this time next year
Anybody else start on monday?

I start on Tuesday...8:15 sharp and I cannot wait...I have just been thrown a curve ball though....It has come to my attention that the teachers here are going on strike ...Threw me for a major loop...Oh well...Things have worked out but I am just concerned with my son's learning...Good luck and I cannot wait to share my experience Tuesday and I hope to see your update Monday...

I start Monday also, I am so excited and nervous. This has been along journey for me and now it is finally here. I have been keeping myself busy by taking a summer class and organizing my home to make things easier for my early morning class 8:30 such as organizing my closet and ironing my clothes for the week. I work this weekend and that will also distract me from all the excitement of starting ns. I can't wait to get started, I know I will not be saying the same a few weeks from now( as alot of 2nd semester nursing students have informed me) but i'm looking forward to all the challenges of ns.

You and I are in the same boat....I started as a nursing major 14 years ago and went to school and got a degree in Foreign Languages and decided that it was nursing that I really wanted to do.....I'm more than half way done with my LVN...Once I'm finished then I have microbiology to do and then it's RN school I go.....
Good luck this Monday and let me tell you, it will go by soooooooooo fast. Before you know it you'll be at the halfway mark....that's a great feeling...

I start the 25 and am a mixed up bag of nerves and excitement at the same time. Don't have to go in until 9.00 am though! Except for clinicals, 9.00 is the norm for my program. I think I'll be thanking God for that extra sleep though. :)

i start on the 25th as well, although i have already been given homework. my professor sent a letter stating what we should expect on the first day and assigned 5 chapters to read in one book, with corresponding workbook pages to complete and 2 chapters in medical terminology. i'm already getting a taste of what school will be like!

I start Monday too. At orientation, I found out that my school is way more laid back than we were lead to believe.
No uniforms in class, only clinicals, we get out of school when we're done whatever we need to learn for the day, the time isn't set.
They're just really laid back...NEVER expected that from all the forms we got and so forth. So that helps me a feel a little better about starting. But man I CAN'T WAIT! I so want this over with and I haven't even started yet. lol.
