Right now I'm 28 and when I finish I will be 31. I just feel like I should of been started my career. I'm so tired of beating myself up. I started back in "04" but I just didn't finish. I'm doing really good and im more focused now since I'm older. Any advice out there?

No way! Search allnurses and you will find lots of nurses that are in school in their 40's and 50's. In my ADN program I went to school with many nurses much older than you. I was 26 when I got my ADN, and just finished my BSN at 29. You have lots of good working years left!
I want to get higher degrees and I feel like my years are going to be wasted.
I'm going for my BSN now.

You're going to be 31 in three years no matter what. You can either be 31 and starting a career you really enjoy, or you can be 31 and doing something else. The only person who can tell you you're too old is yourself.
Thanks for the advice guys, I really needed that.

31 is NOT too old. I was a "mature" student in my ADN program - graduated when I was 29. In my BSN program in my early 40's. I was definately a better student at 29 than I was at 19. Also at 40, compared to 29. GO FOR IT!
Thank u so much for that! I'm more mature now than I was at 19 myself.

Almost half my class was over 30. We had a couple of LPNs transitioning that were over 60.
At least you are getting your BSN, I'm just getting around to mine at 40.
My best friend in ADN school was 20 years older than me and said she wasn't ready before that. She graduated just short of 40 and last I talked to her she was working on her Masters (having already gone back for the BSN).
I know I'm not too old but I just keep tearing myself down with those coulda shoulda wouldas.
