My nursing school took great measures to fix grades when not happy with outcomes. However, this nursing school took great measures to prevent students from cheating. They had a zero tolerance policy towards cheating and any students caught cheating would almost certainly be dismissed from the program. The clever, deceitful, and crooked way in which final grades were fixed at the conclusion of the final semester of the two year associates of science degree in nursing program was a grade fixing scandal of monumental proportions. I was dismissed from the program as a result of not achieving the 75 required to pass the final course of the semester only to have insider information disclose to me that 28 of 79 students initially failed the course with zero "A" students. Ultimately, only 5 unfortunate students including me were not passed and graduated and I strongly believe that I was used as a cover up by the school for their grade fixing scandal just so the school could make the outcome of the semester look realistic. Is cheating a double standard?
I don't know if you started this thread to amuse yourself or if you are truly still obsessed with the whole thing. If you are still truly obsessed with this and you can not find "closure" you scare me. Your thought process is irrational. Like others have stated "you just don't get it" and do not make sense. I know you stated you did counseling, but if you are for real, and allowing this stituation to still consume your life, then you really need to get additional help so that you can find closure in a healthy way.
Do you have any rational explanation
for a passing standard which a 71
passes and a 72 fails?

Numerous posters have already said this but I will say it again because you must have missed it, WE DO NOT have the answers you are looking for. You are beating a dead horse.
I think I am done with this thread.
Good luck.
...still looking for answers...I wantclosure...we all want closure in these kind
of situations
Closure: You won a court settlement against the school & went to some sort of counseling.
Motivation to accept this: A majority of the people on AN no longer care to provide additional "closure" on this topic since you continuously bring it up. THREE YEARS LATER.
Finally, and this is unrelated (more of a personal pet peeve), can you please stop writing in "poem" format?

"Poem" format???
No I have no rational answer. I am very sorry you experienced this. We cannot give legal advice. You sued and by your own admission you won a settlement. Case closed.Do you have any rational explanationfor a passing standard which a 71
passes and a 72 fails?
Only you can close this by accepting that this terrible thing happened to you. You sued and you won. Vindication. Now you look at your options to move forward. Continuing to carry the burden of the past is limiting your life. Has something happened recently that has brought this all back for you?
It is not the obstacles in our path that define who we are... it's how we navigate around them that count.
Wait a minute.
This thread is started by the same person who started this one in September of last year, titled ""Dismissed in nursing school...fought back and won in court!" https://allnurses.com/general-nursing-student/dismissed-nursing-school-854424.html
Are you talking about the same situation? Because your story from back in September seemed dubious. If this event really took place, why was it not publicized? Where is at least some proof that it actually happened?

It is the same person.
Finally a critical thinker!!
Id venture to guess my critical thinking skills are just fine, after all i passed nursing school with a higher than needed passing grade, and our school already had a higher standard than yours. Critically thinking has nothing to do with blaming others for your failure, and everything to do with trying to change what is causing you to fail. Again had your score been well above passing, instead of borderline we would not be having this conversation.
Does it suck to fail, yes... But all the students i have known who failed, and picked themselves up and learned from it have become some of the best nurses I know. It's the ones who don't take responsibility for their part in failing who either 1. Fail out completely, or 2. I'd never want them as a nurse.
