Is Banner Health hiring ADN new grads?

U.S.A. Arizona

So I heard though the grapevine that Banner is no longer hiring ADN new grads. I wanted to see if my fellow peeps out there heard anything. I wanted to get a PCT jobs with Banner in hopes of getting hired on once I've completed my RN. But if Banner is no longer hiring ADN new grads then that will change my course of action.

Thanks

Interesting info regarding hospitals and BSNs.

- a 10% increase in BSNs employed equates to a 5% reduction in mortality and failure to rescue

- Magnet facilities hire more BSNs

If you get an ADN you are probably going to have to go rural to get a job. Then you can earn your RN-BSN and get experience, and move back to an urban area if you like.

I do believe you can get a new grad job at a valley hospital by working as a PCA/PCT while in school. You must be enrolled in a RN-BSN program like NAU so that you can start completing the BSN once you are finished with your ADN. I'm interviewing at Banner for a PCA position and from what I've heard you can get a job at Banner as a new grad ADN, but you must be enrolled in a BSN program and be a current employee. But I will see once May rolls around. :)

Chandler has been actively hiring new grads. BSNs are preferred and there have been director level meetings on going going to all BSN, at least for new grads.

Nope. I've worked for Banner 8 years.. they are phasing out ALL ADN's.

I was recently offered an interview with Banner but declined. I have an ADN and only one year of experience so they must not be trying to only hire BSNs otherwise they would have never attempted to interview me.

I have an ADN friend that was hired by Banner Home Health as an R.N. She did have valuable experience, so maybe exceptions are madeā€¦.

How does she like working for Banner Home Health? I was considering applying. Did they provide her with sufficient training and orientation time?
