I'm totally addicted to the nursing student vids! I love listening to nursing students talking about their expiriences! I would really recommend them to everyone here. hannahdemarco does awsome vids entitled "confessions of a nursing student"

I would love it if you guys knew of any other vids about nursing that you all like! Post and let me know!

After watching itzcecil, I bought a big desk calendar and have been using it for my pre-reqs. I used to have a plain pad of paper and would plan out a week of stuff just by putting in the date and when anything was due. I used to have a regular calendar, but find the desk one easier to write on. One thing I do is put a big black X through the day once it's done... its easier to find where I am at the next day (yes, I am old, lol) and I figured it would be a good way to count down the semester days when I'm in NS.

Although I use google calendar that syncs with my iphone, I want to get a paper daytimer too. I like the desk calendar, but I like to have something to carry with me during the day and be able to look over other than when I'm at my desk.

ha ha I did the same Sand Dollar! I went right out and brought the big calendar.....Although I love her make up videos to. What can I say I am big time girly girl :)

Like everyone has said thanks so much for posting this. I did not know you could see vlogs on youtube. I am enjoying them. I think I will do one for myself. Just to have a record of all I go through. I did not find any good ones for pre-nursing. I think you could share a lot for others to master the class. :yeah:I must admit, I did get a little frighten when she said 12 chapters and then the test. That is a lot of reading.

I haven't seen them but will need to check the out! Thanks for posting this!

While we're on the subject I wanted to share with everyone the worlds greatest planner:

They are stylish, affordable, sturdy and have tons of space on every day for writing various tasks and reminders.

It has saved my life. Of course I use it in conjunction with a desk calendar hanging on my wall--staring me in the face!

I use a black metal clip to keep the pages I am not using bound together so I can flip directly to the page I want to get to. I even wrote in my planner when to go get a new one :)

Being organized is one of the single most important things we need to get through nursing school.

I've heard about these calendars, but havent had the chance to actually flip through one. Can you tell me more about them, like what makes them different from other calendars? Thanks!

I found that having to many will disorganize me. LOL I only use the wall calendar and my appointment feature in my cell phone.

Okay so this totally perked me up out of my pre-req slump and mope making me really think about how I am an academic masochist..along with all of you! I love the pre-req hustle and can only imagine what is in store in nursing school. Yet, something like the Footloose video from the nursing students at Baylor Louis makes me realize that there will be freinds and bonds to make to get you through the hard stuff. Everything in life is uncontrollable except the attitudes we carry, right?

Well for one thing most planners I have seen don't have enough space to write for each individual day. Or the day is broken up by hour. Both of which are terrible flaws in my opinion. You should go to that website I posted. You can see what each 2-page spread looks like. And it is small enough to fit in your purse. They have sturdy plastic covers with a bunch of designs to choose from. Check them out, they are sold at Borders but I am sure you can find them online as well. They also make family planners.
