Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.
I see that a couple of people are testing tomorrow, so I wanted to say Good Luck! I also wanted to share my experience with the exam. I feel like I would have done better if I would not have rushed through the verbal section ( I was so worried about running out of time), and I'm no math whiz so I did actually run out of time on that section and I had to guess on a few. The math involved was all fractions, decimals, and simple algebra. The science was a lot of graphs and temperatures (mostly having to do with Kelvin)..there were also a lot of common sense questions. All in all I would say that beating the clock was the most difficult part of the exam..unless you count trying not to throw up on the key board! I ended up with a 130 and a total score of 162, hopefully that will be sufficient! Again, Good Luck! :)
That's an awesome overall score! I'm pretty sure you'll get in
