IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

I remember around 38 or 37 students its a small class. Its a great program.I don't regret doing the lpn program. What was ur score for lpn nln.I got into there lpn program with a 125 nln score and others had even lower.

Nvm i see you scored a 140.Dont worry you will defiantly be accepted with that score

My score was 140 and they said 11.0 is needed on the TABE, but I scored 12.9 on all areas. Did you took the TABE before you started the program ?

No i was exempt due to having my A.A....

Oh how nice......how long does it take to receive acceptance/denial letters?

I am thinking of applying to the LPN program too. I applied to the RN program but am not happy with my overall score of 147.. (123 on the NLN). I just don't want to wait around if I didn't get in the RN program. I just emailed them about attending the info session because I did not attend one I only attended the RN program info session. So we will see if I can apply or not. I don't know if I should apply for the full-time or the part-time program??? :/

Apply for full-time..the part time takes two years to complete...which is too long.

i think i received my email for acceptance like two weeks after the deadline for lpn

Well, that's not bad. Keeping my fingers crossed. :)

HI, I am glad I found this forum, there was another one and no ONE was on it. I was getting my hopes up that maybe no one was applying lol. I am a nervous wreck.

I got 134 on my nln

overall 159

I have no idea what to think, it's literally right in the middle, some semesters that score has gotten in with no problem and some semesters, it wasn't even an alternate!!!!!

I have a few questions about the LPN program, if you don't mind. I am wondering what the LPN NLN was like in comparison to the RN NLN? Was it as difficult? Any certain areas to focus on for studying more than others for the LPN NLN? And do you happen to know the typical range on LPN NLN scores of your classmates that got accepted into the program.

Thank you!

The lpn nln is way easier than the rn nln...there were more biology questions than the RN nln which had a lot of chemistry and phy questions.I studied both books the red and green NLN book..I remember some questions that were on the lpn NLN test that were actually in the NLN RN study guide book...The lowest score i heard from my classmate was 118
