IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

Hey everyone. Just took the nln this week starting the long wait for the notice letter. The anticipation is too killer. This board is helping me feel a bit less anxious.

I was accepted into this semester and for our class it seemed that scores 152 and higher were accepted. Our deadline was March 5th and we got our letters on March 27th (we got stuck waiting through spring break). You never know how strong the applicant pool is but I hope this eases some of your minds.

I had studied for a while and ended up with a 178 overall and a 147 on the test though I was hoping for at least a 150-160 based on the practice tests I'd taken. I was nervous coming out as i had met someone who'd taken the test twice already w/ a slightly lower score who had to try a third time. There seemed to be a lot of people testing this time around and with more people comes higher results, but I do generally have a tendency to worry myself. so idk just waiting and trying to calm myself haha

That sound really good actually. I dont think my heart could take a full 8 weeks it's so nerve-wracking cause I do have a general idea of how everything goes now but you never really know

Hi there, I've all my prerequisites done with 3.0 GPA and recently took the NLN for LPN. I scored 140 on the test and got 12.9 on all the TABE. Do you think I got enough score to be accepted into the program? Temperatures are boiling high :(

Why didn't you take it for the RN program?! You could get in with that score!!!

Well, I wanted to do the LPN first because most of my friends in the RN program says the program is really really tough .

Hey guys.I applied as well For JAN 2016 I did the lpn program at irsc. A few of my classmates applied last march and were guaranteed acceptance.As long as they had they lpn license and minimum score of 100 on nln. They were all accepted and are now starting this Fall 2015 semester.Just a FYI if you have ur lpn license and minimum score your guaranteed.

Thanks for sharing, I just applied for the lpn for January 2016. I'm praying so hard to be accepted. How many students do they accept full time for lpn?
