  1. When are the physicals and TB tests due for you guys?
  2. They always said that being an LPN didn't make a difference, but it did for this fall semester at least! I really don't think it's fair. I guess the best advice would be to study as much as you can for the test if you don't get in this time around.
  3. Why didn't you take it for the RN program?! You could get in with that score!!!
  4. Worried about this tropical storm/hurricane ruining our first day or even week of class!! I was at the main campus during a tropical storm a couple years ago and they decided to cancel class AFTER the parking lots and roads were flooded. People were pushing their cars out of the water
  5. I was accepted into this semester and for our class it seemed that scores 152 and higher were accepted. Our deadline was March 5th and we got our letters on March 27th (we got stuck waiting through spring break). You never know how strong the applicant pool is but I hope this eases some of your minds. Good luck everyone!!!
  6. Depending on how strong the applicant pool is you may be an alternate.
  7. That's an awesome overall score! I'm pretty sure you'll get in
  8. As far as the blood pressure cuffs go, what kind should I get? I know she showed us in the meeting but of course I can't remember to save my life! Also trying to figure out what stethoscope I am going to buy.
  9. Class on Mondays 8-1 Labs on Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30-12:30 Fridays are test days
  10. I only got a 126 but truthfully I was only shooting for a 130. I was not good at making myself study for it. From following previous forums it seems like spring semester is a lot harder to get into. I had A's in the labs, B in anatomy lecture, and a C in micro lecture as well. I don't know what your weak spots are but mine was definitely the vocabulary portion of the NLN. Since you have already taken the test before think back on what you struggled with most and study up on it as much as you can.
  11. I've been on a couple of threads from previous semesters just to see what everyone had to say. I was also thinking about applying earlier but I wasn't so good about studying for the NLN. The most stressful part about applying is the NLN so I would say just make that a HUGE priority. It is also good to share your score with others on here so everyone can get an idea of how strong the applicant pool is. Waiting to hear if you are accepted or denied for 4-6 weeks can make you a little crazy so there's a little comfort in knowing other applicants scores. Unless you get under a 100 on the test there is really nothing to be embarrassed about when sharing NLN scores and total scores. I never understood why some people are so secretive about their scores. If you are on a forum you are most likely trying to get some insight so if others are sharing their scores to help others get an idea, be fair and share yours too! I was an alternate and had no shame in sharing because it helps others get an idea of where they might be on the list. I also knew I didn't study for the test as hard as I should of. Everyone can do great on the test as long as they put the time in!!
  12. Is anyone using financial aid?
  13. Hi Sydney, I was an alternate for fall semester coming up. I got a few points shy of what I was shooting for on the NLN, but I got my acceptance letter in June. You can apply for both but I wasn't interested in the LPN. The application process is very nerve wracking especially after you get accepted because you can't miss anything or you're out. The deadline to turn in our completed checklist was yesterday so the last week has been very stressful. Have you gone to an information session yet? The last one before the deadline is the 20th.
  14. I would attend just to be safe!
  15. My paperwork is all turned in and the lady at the front desk said it looks good. I'm still nervous!
