Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.
I declined the advance placement because even if you skip it you have to test out and do a skills test and a written test which cost about $160 each and if you fail you still start back from square 1. If you pass; the program length is the same. So what's the real benefit...? None. So I declined the advance placement and will start from the beginning.
I was just browsing this board and noticed this post. I might have mis-read this but if you are a CNA you don't qualify for advanced placement. It's LPN, paramedics, and respiratory. My advance (current student) don't skip it. You learn how to take the tests, care plans, and how to juggle your study schedule.
It was in reply to CNA's going into the LPN program, not CNA's going into the RN program.
