IRSC Spring 2016 hopefuls!

Hello everyone. I'm currently enrolled in my last set of pre-reqs for the RN program. In my microbiology classs, I noticed there is high anxiety because the applicant pool looks strong this year and 90% of my class are nursing applicants. I would like to start a support group, for passing along information, questions, advice, or just emotional guidance. We can all be nurses. We can all do it. Let's help each other get there! Does anyone have any tips for the NLN exam? Unfortunately, I have class and cannot attend the free review sessions.

Hey guys. I just believe the signed handbooks. What money for the shirts? .... I was so frustrated with her delivery so it was hard to focus. That's why I spoke up. How can you be upset with us for not asking if we have each and every immunization? There are so damn many and we have to fish them out sometimes ....

I believe we have to put our orders in for shirts tomorrow, I am brining $$ just in case. As well as the signed handbooks.

Yeah I guess I will too

Good thing we are already getting paid RN salary to afford everything for this program. lol

For the LPN students, I understand the current students informing us to start in January, even if we have the CNA course completed. But I have a job that I can use to my advantage for that month and a half. Because once I start, my hours have to be cut. I am slightly worried that I won't have a study group, when I come in February, but it seems worth it to me. I just completed six weeks of CNA! :(

I think it would be worth it to just go through the whole thing. I spoke to a person in nursing 3 the other day and I asked about the advance placement and he said the people that came in later struggled pretty bad.

Hey yall ! I'm currently a nurse 3 student and was searching for IRSC BSN threads when I stumbled upon yours! CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING IN!!!!!! If you have any questions, I'm more than happy to answer! The college isn't the MOST organized, so I understand your frustration! GOOD LUCK!

Yes, I've heard similar and it seems you have to jump through hoops anyways to prove your competency. You have to do some type of validation test. I guess too much knowledge is never an issue. I'll start in January.

Or I am going to go to the office on Monday. I need to figure this out.

Did you get everything situated with the Nursing program? Your scores were pretty high.

Did anyone else get an email about registration yet?

Does anyone remember the name of that place the first speaker was talking about, where they help you pay for school based on your income?
