IRSC Fall 2014 Hopefuls!

Hey everyone! I know this is super early to be talking about the fall semester but I just got my denial letter for the Spring 2014 semester so I wanted to make this group for anyone that's applying or didn't make it in like me. I got a 109 score on my NLN exam which makes my total points for program 130. I took A&P I & Micro which accounts for my points. I would like to retake the NLN in 6 months & hopefully I can do much better. I'm currently enrolled in A&P II & plan on just studying my butt off for the nln in the process. Classes I have left before I'm done with all my "pre-requisites" are A&P II (which I'm currently in), Chemistry, and Nutrition. (which I plan on taking those in spring/summer). Maybe we can get a study group together eventually if anyone is interested! Best of luck to everyone! :)

Chuck, I didn't want to take it at the last minute but Tuesday will probably be the day since it's my day off =/

I am not very confident but I will take it to at least see what happens.

Good luck to both of you Jessica and Britt, my advice is to get there at like 7:45 which I did and you will be the first two in there. I know you not studied all so I know you'll both do well! Do work!

I registered on the NLN website but where do I pay for the test?!

Hi everyone, I just took the NLN today. When you walk into the front entrance where the testing center is, you must first see the lady in the center. She then gives you a form to hand to the cashier to pay for the test. I am telling you this ahead of time because I waited in line at the cashier and then had to wait in line again after she told me what to do. Good luck guys!

I know it's hard not to freak out but it helped me when I just looked at it as a practice run. I figured it shows me where I need to brush up a little more. So if I don't make it this time round I know what to concentrate on now. I stopped making myself crazy after that. Good luck.

Just try to relax. At this point, you need to get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast in the morning, and remember - you'll do great! If you try to cram too much, things can start to get jumbled. While you're taking tbe test, remember that often your first instinct is usually right.

I agree with SBabs, at this point you should relax and get a good nights sleep. I know you will both do well!
