Inver Hills MANE Fall 2015

U.S.A. Minnesota

OK, I know I'm not the only one excited and/or nervous about getting into the Fall 2015 Nursing Program at Inver Hills or any other nursing school in the Twin Cities for that matter. Can you believe there are only 5 and a half weeks until the application due date?! I know it's an even longer wait until we find out in March if we've been accepted or not, but I can't stop thinking about it. I couldn't find a Fall 2015 thread, so I thought I would start one. Who's with me? I've done all my pre-req's, took the TEAS, turned in my application, and now I'm just sitting here waiting and waiting. So if you're kind of in the same boat, let's chat it out until we get to that golden moment in the spring!

The wait is definitely excruciating! I'm also running into a possible transcript issue from the non accredited religious school I attended 20 years ago. Although if ARCC doesn't get them I may just have to drive to Chicago and wait in their office until I get them. I scored an 84.0 on my TEAS and a 3.0 GPA. Now all we can do is cross our fingers and wait until March 15. My scores would have been high enough for the past classes but if enough people scored dramatically higher this cycle, then who knows?

It really concerns me that they ask for our high school transcripts and ANY schools we've attempted to earn credits at. The person I was when I first attended college 6 years ago isn't the person I am today. I hope it doesn't count against me! :(

Your scores look great! They look at the overall score first, and then when there is a tie somewhere, they look at your teas score before GPA I believe.

You're right CTN91. They take your overall score and in the event of a tie, they compare your individual TEAS scores starting with the Science section and then the math section.

I applied to mane LVN to bsn for fall 2015 too. did everything at dctc & inver, then had to move home to california Where I did more prereqs. The schools and job market don't even come close to MN Excellence. I miss MN!!! I hope I get in! And find out soon. I have a house to pack up and sell!

I just received my acceptance letter in the mail today!!! I cried!! I'm so excited!! Have you heard back yet?

What school did you apply to? Those of us applying into the MANE program won't find out for another two weeks.

I applied to Inver, Century, Normandale, and MCTC. I got an acceptance letter from Inver Hills today! (I know, 2 weeks early!) I was sure it was a rejection letter being that it was early. I hope you guys find out soon too!

Holy cow! Congrats! Just inver sent letters? You haven't heard from other schools yet right?

What were your scores if you don't mind me asking!

Thank you so much! I hope you get your acceptance letters soon! Yes, I've just heard from Inver. When I talked to Betty Blazer at Normandale a couple weeks ago, she said they will send theirs out "about March 13th." So I wouldn't be surprised if we all start getting letters any day now. I feel so fortunate to have gotten in at all! I have been so nervous about it! Good luck to the rest of you and I hope to see you there!! :)

I got my acceptance letter from Inver Hills today too!!! I'm so excited!!! Congrats to you SaraG21, I'll be seeing you this fall. To top it all off I have an interview for a PCA position at Regions Hospital on Thursday. Woo hoo!!!

Wow, that's awesome!! Congratulations!! & Good luck with your interview!

Why couldn't ARCC have sent letters early? I am so nervous waiting to hear if I get in or not. Anyone willing to share what your composite was to get in to Inver Hills? I'm hoping they are about the same across the board. I only applied to AR this time(first time around), so we will see!!

I don't mind sharing at all! I have been scouring this website for months to give me some sense of hope of ever getting in. I will share anything to help someone else out, the way others have helped me. I didn't have very good grades my first few semesters in college and was actually told by a counselor at one point to consider another major because I likely wouldn't ever get into a nursing program. Always go after what you want! Try and try again! Ok, onto your question... ;)

For Inver's pre-req's I had a 3.5 GPA and a TEAS score of 82%... Bringing me to an 11.7.

Good luck to you, I really hope you get in! :)
