Asking for help
If you are applying to a MANE college, a low 3s GPA might get you in if you score in the 80s on your TEAS test. I had a 3.0 GPA in the required classes and I scored an 84 on the TEAS and was accepted at Anoka Ramsey and start nursing school next Monday. Also realize that these schools take your scores ONLY from the 4 prereq classes,it varies but at ARCC the classes were chemistry, general psychology, biology, and English reading and writing for college and liberal arts. The other classes don't count towards admittance, but I believe you do need to have a 2.75 GPA overall(not positive on that). Good luck!!

What to Expect Orientation and First Semester MANE
I am getting ready for orientation at ARCC on July 8th and then the 17th at Cambridge. Does anyone have info on what supplies we will need for school. Other than the book list I am pretty much in the dark and it doesn't seem that we'll get any of that info until after the orientation, sucky thing being the expo is the morning of and before orientation starts. So I'm sure I know the obvious, uniforms, blood pressure cuff??, stethoscope, but what else? is anyone else attending? Also does anyone know if we are allowed to use an electronic stethoscope? (I was given a really nice one as a gift). Any info or thoughts are appreciated.

Inver Hills MANE Fall 2015
Why couldn't ARCC have sent letters early? I am so nervous waiting to hear if I get in or not. Anyone willing to share what your composite was to get in to Inver Hills? I'm hoping they are about the same across the board. I only applied to AR this time(first time around), so we will see!!

Inver Hills MANE Fall 2015
The wait is definitely excruciating! I'm also running into a possible transcript issue from the non accredited religious school I attended 20 years ago. Although if ARCC doesn't get them I may just have to drive to Chicago and wait in their office until I get them. I scored an 84.0 on my TEAS and a 3.0 GPA. Now all we can do is cross our fingers and wait until March 15. My scores would have been high enough for the past classes but if enough people scored dramatically higher this cycle, then who knows?

Inver Hills MANE Fall 2015
I applied for the Mane Fall 2015 start at ARCC. I am crossing my fingers now hoiping that I get in. According to previous score cutoffs I would, but it is impossible to know how everyone scored this term on the TEAS and that is what will make the difference. I only applied to Anoka Ramsey, but if I do not get in this round than I will apply to more programs next term. It is just hard because that is a 3 year committment to drive way farther, so I really hope I get AR for this fall. Has nayone else applied to Anoka for this Fall?

Fall 2015 ARCC
I am also hoping to start the nursing in Fall 2015. I will graduate with my AA from Anoka Ramsey in Spring 2015. I will have all my prereqs done for semester 1 (actually already have them done but am retaking General Psych for a higher grade to bring up my GPA to a 3.0). Who do you have for teachers this fall? There are a couple you should definitely avoid, lol. let me know if you want help with that. I am taking Gen Psych, A & P and Drugs, Alchohol & Tobacco, along with Intro to Art this Fall. I had to take A&P at Cambridge because otherwise I would have to go 5 days a week which doesn't work well with kids and work. At Cambridge you take lecture and lab all in the same time block which works better for me.
