Inver Hills MANE Fall 2015

U.S.A. Minnesota

OK, I know I'm not the only one excited and/or nervous about getting into the Fall 2015 Nursing Program at Inver Hills or any other nursing school in the Twin Cities for that matter. Can you believe there are only 5 and a half weeks until the application due date?! I know it's an even longer wait until we find out in March if we've been accepted or not, but I can't stop thinking about it. I couldn't find a Fall 2015 thread, so I thought I would start one. Who's with me? I've done all my pre-req's, took the TEAS, turned in my application, and now I'm just sitting here waiting and waiting. So if you're kind of in the same boat, let's chat it out until we get to that golden moment in the spring!

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Hope other new students interested in these programs find this thread!

I'm an Lpn applying to ihc mane program fall 2015.

I'm not an LPN, although I used to be a CNA. I went back to office work for now since it pays better. LOL Have you taken the TEAS test yet and applied? I ended up taking the TEAS twice. I was so nervous the first time I did terrible.

I'm not applying to IHCC but I am applying to Century. They both have the MANE program. I am retaking my teas again for a better score, hopefully! But I agree, I cannot stop thinking about it and I haven't even turned in my application yet. Good luck to you all!

Anyone applying to one of the MANE programs is definitely welcome on my posts! Just three more weeks until the deadline and nine very long weeks until the letters go out. I'm taking a couple of liberal arts courses this semester to try and keep my mind busy, but I don't think it will help. Good luck on your retake CTN91!! It definitely feels a little less stressful on the second time around in my opinion. The first time I took the TEAS, I cried. I got an overall score of 70%. So picked myself up off the floor, studied for another two weeks, and got an overall score of 81.3%. I feel so much better about my second score, but I still really worry if it's enough. Fingers crossed and best wishes to all applicants!

I have also applied for Inver's MANE nursing program!!! I am sooooo nervous! I hate waiting and not knowing, so that never helps any. Does anyone know how many students apply to get into Inver's program/how many people get in?? If you are taking classes at Inver, we should grab some coffee sometime and chat! Best of luck to everyone!

I thought we should find out around March 15th, I read that on the MANE website.. I could be wrong! That is a great score! Above 80 is VERY good.. What was your combined score with GPA? I got 76 the first time so hopefully it will jump up a few the next time. Plus, there was someone in the testing room coughing their lungs out next to me. It was impossible to read and retain the passage on the test when my focus was broken every 15 seconds!!

I'm not sure how many apply to the program. I want to say it's usually like about 300 or so and I thought they accepted around 50 applicants. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on this guess.

Yes, March 15th are when the letters go out, but that's a Sunday, so I'm sure it will be around that time frame. My GPA for the first semester courses is 4.0, so that makes my entrance score 12.13. It feels like a good score, but I don't want to get my hopes up and be disappointed. So I'm cautiously optimistic! Sorry to hear about your distracting situation during your test. We're nervous enough without someone making it worse. When are you taking the TEAS again CTN91? Here's to hoping there's no distractions this time around for you.

I didn't mean to double post! And I don't know how to delete comments.. haha

I'm taking it again on the 27th of this month. Cutting it really close but slots filled up quickly! Trying to get all this done plus starting on my new courses this semester is going to be a toughy. I'm glad you have it all sorted out. If 11 is considered competitive then I would feel pretty confident if I were you. I guess we can only hope for the best and expect the worst! We can only wait now....
