Hello! My name is Sarah, and I am starting pre-nursing at Morton College in a couple of weeks. I'm nervous about going back to school (I haven't been in eight years!) but I'm very excited to begin as well.
Don't be scared - I started back after 10 years. Once you start, you won't want to stop...it's addicting!!! Best of luck to you!
I'm hoping to attend CLC's nursing program in spring of '09. I am a second degree student. My first degree is a BS in biology from the University of Illinois. I have a son who is 9 months old. I am taking A&P at CLC this fall. I cannot wait to begin nursing school!
I'm going into my second semester at CLC...has been a good program so far (and they changed the PE's, so now you can make "some" mistakes). Best of luck getting into the program...keep me posted!
I am also a failed pre-med who is now going into nursing. I graduated from UW-Parkside in 2004 with a degree in Biology and Psychology. Since then I have taken a year off, attended a Specialized Master's program (which I missed the GPA cutoff by 1 question) and re-evaluated my options career wise.
I will be joining Squire in DePaul's Master's Entry into Nursing program beginning in January 2009.

Hi Everyone,
My name is Carrie. As my user id states I'm desperately trying to get into an RN program. I have a BA in Management and worked as an accoutant for 10 years before deciding on a career change. I left my job 2 years ago and completed all my pre -reqs now I just need to get in! I'm thinking about doing an LPN program and then a bridge later...I'm getting a little long in the tooth to just keep banging on the doors of community colleges.... I'm looking forward to learning and sharing...... I currently work in an Assisted Living facility planning and implementing daily activities etc for residents with Dementia and Alzheimers.
