How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.
Care to share?
I'm so impressed with all of you that can go through the program AND you have children!! Must be so tough! I am 36 (shhh...don't tell anyone) and the proud mama of 3 weiner dogs. I'm working on my 5th year of marriage and I'm so lucky to have a husband that will do anything it takes to help me acheive my dream. Can't wait for august!
Hi I'm Cheryl and my ADN classes will begin in August.
I AM SO EXCITED!! :monkeydance:
I'm 33, mom of 2 and I just decided for a serious carreer change! (I've been an accountant for 13 yrs)
I've always wanted to work in a hospital even as a freshman in high school. I can remember being envious of my girlfriend who got the job in the hospital while I had the kindergarten teacher's aide job (thru DECA).
It just seems like a job that would never get boring. I havent decided yet which specialty I will pursue, but it will most likely be Trauma or ER. I like to be in the thick of things and really help out in a pinch!
Good luck to everyone!!

Hello, anyone else notice the first page is from 2002. I am a nursing student, mother of four. I graduate in December. Very excited, starting to get scared though, I now feel that I don't have enough knowledge or experience to be a "real nurse". Cold feet I guess.
