How about a thread that will allow us to introduce ourselves to those who are new and the new students can do the same.
I am Stephany, 42, mother of 3 children, a son 22, a daughter 15, and a son 13. I am an LPN of nearly 11 years, and I am in my first semester of a five-semester rn program.

Hi neller,
I go to Harcum College in Bryn Mawr, PA, just outside Philadelphia. It's a small junior college. It takes 1 year to get your RN (associate degree), May 2005 to May 2006. The first class just graduated this past May. We have school on Tues and Thurs from 5pm to 10pm, and clinicals on sat and sun from 7am to 3pm. You have to already have a bachelors, which counts for the electives and sciences. So we just have to take the nursing classes. It's tough and i am very nervous, but i think i can do it. It's so exciting to know that i have less than 1 year left until i'm a real nurse :yelclap:

hey i haven't been around for a very very long time. i was wondering if any of the older "waiters" (you know waiting around for their letters! :rotfl: ) anyway i just got some good news the other day when i updated my rn app. for the spring semester. she said i almost got in this fall, but that it "looks real good" for the spring!! i am so used to them giving me the "sorry, but you'll have to wait some more...!" so at the very least i was told that i would be an alternate, which almost always get added.
so i am tickled and thought i'd share it here, since i have always gotten so much support here.

Hi! My name is Sonja. I am 27 years old. I just got married in October 2004! I have been waiting to get into nursing school for two years now. I took my entrance exam a few weeks ago, and I just found out that I got in!!! I am starting my first set of classes in two weeks. I am excited and freaking out all at the same time. How am I going to do this!? How am I going to afford this? I didn't think I would be starting this soon. Ahh!!!!!! :Melody:
