Sigh....I have an interview tomorrow at this hospital I use to extern at. The manager called me and told me she finally received clearance to hire 3 more rn. But now out of all the weeks I have been unemployed my mouth decides to play a game on me this week. I have periodontitis my right lower jaw is swollen and in pain...I started abx and pain meds yesterday.. I'm still going for interview if my face doesn't go down should I tell them to excuse my plump face or just go with it normally?

Another member posted a couples of days ago about her face being swollen for an interview. Ice it as much as possible and explain at the beginning of the interview if it is still very noticeable. Good luck.

GO!
The sympathy points will be great and more importantly it will show them that you show up no matter what.
That will definitely impress them. At the beginning of the interview just say "please excuse my appearance" so they know what is going on and can be impressed by your commitent!

I think it actually should'nt matter howur face look as long as you can speak well and u impress your interviewer with your knowledge. Does your facial apperance really matter?

As other posters have mentioned, managers are very impressed by employees who get themselves to work no matter what. They extend the same sentiment to applicants who come in for interviews even if they don't feel well or have something else going on. You have already started treatment for the infection, so that is one task down. Your priority now shifts to getting this job. Go to the interview.

ICE ICE ICE! I wouldn't reschedule the interview. if they ask what's up then tell them your situation. Just dress professionally. Remember it isn't looks that they are hiring you on, it's how you would do as a nurse! good luck.
thanks for the response everyone.. i am definitely going! cant wait. the swelling has decrease due to home remedy of peroxide gargle at site... noticeable decrease in swelling. i will let you all know how it went.
