Hi there,

I just downloaded the application form from the website and filled it in today. I posted my letter to my nursing school to ask them for a letter to confirm I completed the programme (as it asks on application form) and I ordered an international money order from my bank.

All I need to do now is have my application Notirized by a lawyer luckily we are just selling our house so our lawyer for that is doing it. Then I can get it posted!!!!

The only bit of infor I am still looking for unsuccessfully may I add is how long I have to register for Pearson Vue after I get my eligability before it runs out apparently each state is different but I cant find anywhere to find out what NJs is. I have e mailed the contact on the application from to ask her so hopefully I will get a reply soon.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Hi, usually the BON will advise you that you may register with Pearsonvue. However, if you register ahead of time (without waiting for the BON's go signal), your registration is good for one year. If your papers are incomplete and the BON doesn't make you eligible to take the NCLEX in one year, then your Pearsonvue payment will be forfeited. Once BON advises you to register, and you do so, you will get your ATT via e-mail (if you provided your e-mail address at the time of application). Its expiration date will also be indicated. It's usually good for three months. You have to print out the e-mail and make sure you bring it along with your valid ID on the day of the test.

Hi there thanks fo the info the one thing I am still wondering though is once the NJ BON tells me I am eligable to sit nclex and gives me permission to submitt to pearson vue and sit nclex how long do I have to apply to pearson vue. Once I have permission to test from the NJ BON does that permission have a time limit on it that can expire and require me to re-apply to the NJ BON again?

You will not be given an ATT unless you pay the Pearsonvue fee and register. So, when the BON tells you that you are eligible and you can register with Pearsonvue and you don't, no ATT will be sent out to you. In your ATT, they will indicate an expiration date. You then contact Pearsonvue to schedule an exam that is within the valid dates that they gave you. I don't know what will happen if they declare that you are eligible and can register but you don't. Most BONs will have your file active for one year. After that, you will have to submit a new application form, fee, fingerprint cards, etc. So that means that you'll spend again and you will have to do everything all over again.

Usually about a month, but it depends on how many applicants that they are processing now. It could take longer than that.

hi prinsesa im also applying for NJ nclex..im actually a legal resident of united states although i graduated here in the philliphines..and im kind of confuse of the requirements..there's no need for me to take the toefl ryT? since technically im a resident of US and i've done some esl already when i was in US..i hope you guyz could help me out plz....thnxx

Even if a PR if you did your training outside of the US then you will always have to meet their requirements for foreign trained nurse and if they require a English exam then it needs to be done. If in doubt it is always better to contact the BON concerned and ask them as at the end of the day it is them that make the final say on what they will or will not accept
