  1. submitted my requirements this afternoon at csmc. when i got there a lot of applicants were waiting outside the hr office.. i learned that they took the test in the morning and they were asked to come back for an interview in the afternoon. the guard there asked me if my bls and ivt were updated. sadly my bls isn't updated at all. im planning to get the bls training at phc this coming april 5. the guard was hesitant at first but told me to try. however, staff at the hr office were way too busy to attend to the applicants one on one so i wasn't able to explain to them that my bls will be on a "to follow" status.. so i don't know now.. i am not expecting at all.. been through this lotsa times but always gets no calls back.. so frustrating! i just hope for the best and lift everything to Him. Goodluck everyone. I'll keep you guys posted.
  2. i will be trying my luck tomorrow. my board rating isn't 80%, i dont have the latest bls training but i will be getting one soon.. i hope theystill consider.. il update you guys tomorrow.. i have to see myself what the real score is..
  3. hi rocket07 sorry for asking but i just wanna ask if you got 80% or higher board rating?
  4. rke, how much did you pay for the fingerprinting? did you pay it through money order?
  5. Thanks rke18. Btw, should i send the certification and authorization form for the criminal history and background check together with my application to BON? How's the fingerprinting process? What do you think about this? I have a friend who is my nclex-NJ-buddy. we are buddies since we planned to do the application process, review as well as taking the exam together (if scheduling permits). i am wondering, if we can send our docus to NJ BON as one package or mail so that it will cost us less (i.e. fee divided by two) knowing that sending docus through courier from the PI to the US is quite expensive. Do you think it's okay? Or applications should be received by the BON as an individual mail? thank you very much. goodluck to all of us.
  6. okay. still quite puzzled but thank you very much.
  7. do i need to pay it asap? will it have an effect on the status of my application in NJ BON?
  8. i'm done with ces and will be sending my application to nj bon within this week. however, it bothers me if i already need to send $200 to pearson/vue. as stated in the nj application form... ...."in addition to the application fee, the applicant must submit a certified check or money order in the amount of $200 along with the test application to the testing company ncs pearson/vue. (the envelope with the application is included within the examination candidate bulletin.)" do i need to send $200 for testing fee to ncs pearson/vue already? my friends paid to pearson/vue with a credit card and they paid it when they already received their att. now, i don't really know how much to send. please enlighten me. thanks.
  9. hey suzanne i'm working on my ces papers now. what i understand from the ces handbook, is that the ces report must be accompanied with the english proficiency report. page 6 of the ces handbook: additional requirements for new jersey and michigan the new jersey board of nursing requires proof that the applicant has achieved a passing score on the english proficiency examination required by the department of homeland security for certification of healthcare workers in section 343 of the illegal immigration reform immigrant responsibility act of 1996. the michigan board of nursing also requires proof of english language proficiency for applicants who graduated from a nursing school program that was taught in a language other than english. the cgfns ces report must be accompanied by this english language proficiency report containing the passing scores of the approved english examinations detailed in the cgfns visascreen® handbook. so there..i'm working on my english exams so that i can be through with the ces and then take nclex after that. i'm on the right track, right?
  10. Actually, I'm going for the rescore because i feel bad that i passed the total score but then failed on the speaking part. you see, i got 96 but got 24 for speaking section which should be 26 to be able to get the visascreen right? so im just trying my luck..hoping and praying that it'll increase to 26.. i know i did my best, that's why i got quite a good score overall.. so, there im just really taking chances.. if i still don't pass, maybe its not meant for me to pass yet.. *I really really wanted to take IELTS because I know its easier to pass than TOEFL. But if you've been reading my previous posts, I was quite confused then whether to take IELTS or TOEFL. I emailed NJ BON sometime around September last year, inquired with what English Exam to take, they told me that TOEFL is the only accepted English Exam. So I decided to follow what they said. However, recently, I learned from one of the members here who also went through the same problem as mine.. NJ BON replied to her email and told her that s/he can take IELTS instead of TOEFL. Sigh. It's really really confusing. I'll try to email NJ BON again after the results of my rescore. If i still don't qualify, I might go for IELTS once the NJ BON gives me the Go signal. What do you guys think?
  11. hello people.. i would just like to ask if any of you guys went through the TOEFL-iBT Recoring process.? If any of you did, how did you go about it? i have the toefl rescoring form already but i don't know where to send it. is it by standard mail? email or by fax? thanks guys..
  12. what is the score required for the speaking section of the TOEFL-iBT? i checked with the Visascreen handbook, it stated there that total score must be 83 and 26 is needed for the speaking part. however, i've seen previous sites before which i cannot locate anymore, it said there that the total score must be 83 and the speaking part should have 23.. im not so sure what the required score really is. To those who have applied for licensure at New Jersey and took the TOEFL-iBT, please tell me what is the score needed? im quite bothered and sad coz i got a total of 96 but got 24 for the speaking part..
  13. thank you starbin and suzane for your helpful replies. will keep in mind your points.. i guess i have to wait for whatever charges the CGFNS may ask from me.. im really hoping that they will not charge me for the previous application.. i wasnt able to call cgfns that time because i was already confused with lotsa things on my mind.. retake, applications, etc.. my plans went back to zero.. i know its not an acceptable excuse.. but that was what really happened. i was depressed for a while because of all the issues that took place.. anyway, now i know and others too.. may they learn from what happened to my case.. will keep you posted if cgfns asked charges for the previous application..
  14. I applied online for CES at CGFNS last year. They even mailed me my CGFNS ID via standard mail. I also submitted the request for academic records at my school and they mailed it to CGFNS also last year. I worked on the Validation of license at PRC last year as well. However, with the retake issues for June 2006 passers, I decided to take a new set of exam so that I'll be in the roster of June 2007 passers (to remove the stigma and doubts). In that case, I decided to put on hold my application to CES. I told PRC not to mail my papers to CGFNS yet since taking a new exam and having a new license will entail new license validation process. Now that I have passed the 2007 NLE and currently waiting for my TOEFL-IBT results, I am now ready to apply once again for CES. I am now troubled with what papers to fill out and submit. Is it the Reprocess an Expired Full Education Course by Course Report or just the application form in the Application Handbook? I understand that I will have to pay an additional payment for the reprocess, right? *By the way, i haven't paid any fees yet for the services since that was the time that I decided to withdraw my application. *I also received emails from CGFNS tracking down my orders. They also emailed me when they recieved my academic records, they emailed me the status of my order. In that case, it has been deleted because of the failure to settle accounts and submit the required papers within teh time period that they gave me. *Do i have to submit academic records again to CGFNS or they will still consider the previous documents i submitted? sorry for all the querries guys.. im just confused.. thanks very much.. whatever info will be of great help.. God bless.
  15. I got married after i submitted my nclex papers. Would it be questionable if in my nclex papers, my civil status is single and then in my visa, it'll be married? I'm planning to bring my husband along once i get to the US. What papers do i have to go through? hope to get reply from you guys.. thanks!
