moderator note: this is a continuation of a previous thread that was very long and split by member request. this thread is primarily for current student discussion. there is another thread of faq: https://allnurses.com/distance-learning-nursing/isu-faq-thread-365878.html

we had to take micro, stats, math, biology, couple of humanities, etc, etc. maybe she meant that's just the one specific to nursing, as in in addition to the rest of the gen eds? anyway, good luck on both your applications!

Forever plaid,

I am not using TCN for my tests. I got all of my Customized study modules for each of the CLEPS, etc. tests from EBay. Read all about those things on the "other closed ISU sticky". You will find all of the other info you need..

Good Luck!

Okay, I found info about the ebay sites and even amazon sites, but the modules are formatted to say Nursing Concept 5 or 4 stuff like that. These books do not offer a title for the book such as nursing care of the childbearing family. So how can I know which book to purchase.

For those that are testing out of the four courses to gain entrance into the nursing program in August, I was wondering if you guys wanted to form a study group at? I think it will help knock off some of the edge and we can keep one another motivated.

Do not get confused when looking into these distance programs. Anything about Nursing Concepts 4 or 5 or 3, etc. is referencing the Excelsior College exams as they existed before Oct. 1 2007. Those tests have been renamed with slight changes, but they still go with the Excelsior College program. You need to go to the ISU LPN/LVN to BSN webpage and go onto the link that lists the nursing courses and entire curriculum for the ISU program; you will see that they are numbered and named differently. http://catalog.indstate.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=5&poid=8

Hi, new to the forum. Has anyone passed the exams without the CSMs? I purchased all the books on ebay that were on the provided syllabuses. But im getting a bit scared to take the exams without the CSM. Anyone selling them? I have to pass!

hello all,

Chaxanmom can you tell me how were your last classes slated? For instance the lpn-bsn track brochure shows Nurs 324,424, and 450 in a row, is that how they must be taken (in order)? And do they allow you to take two courses that has a clinical component to it at the same time?
