"Affect" is a verb. "Effect" is a noun. So you do know how impaired elimination affects the integumentary system.
affect is also a noun as in "the patient exhibited a sad affect."

"Effect" is also a verb. One can, after all, effect change.

Ummmm, isn't the bolded part actually correct?
Actually, yes, it is.
Just answer as if the wording is "manipulate" or "change"
