This is just for the purpose of getting updated or informed and do note that nothing is absolute and in fact things are very fluid or volatile when it comes to immigration matters.

Hi, everybody! There was supposed to happen some Senate meeting or discussion of the budget yesterday (15.2), which could also include the amendment of the nurses' bill. I realize, if there is no news on this, nothing happened. But still, does anybody know where to check the link of the Senate time schedule or something?
Thanks.
Scan this and say what happened there!
also try this!
i just wondered suzanne, where do you get your information about this?:)
From about seven or eight immigration attorneys that I really trust, and I do quite a bit of reading, as well. I am always picking brains.
And from putting two and two together with what has happened in the US over the past 25 years or so and how things have been previously done. New visas always take about three months once they are approved to be available for use.
this looks interesting...

Yes, this is the first step for the revival of the Comprehensive Immigration Reform. They will be consulting those two persons and some senators will be debating some immigration issues before they can form a bill (Senate version) that every senator agrees with.
After that, the Senate will have to confer w/ the House of Representatives (who will have their own version of the CIR as well). They will then have to make a final version wherein both versions or each Houses agrees to and that final version will be forwarded to the US President for signing to ratify it.
Sounds easy but it failed last year (before the US Nov. elections) because the House of Representatives back then did not agree w/ the Senate version.
