Hello everyone! I applied to Darton College for the ADN program for Spring 2013. They will be sending out acceptance/denial letters by November 12th (in 25 days). The problem is I am so depressed right now. I have applied to Darton College 3 times already. Plus I applied to Augusta State University and was put on the alternates list, but was never called. I just don't know what to do anymore. I have to take the TEAS test on Saturday and I have been studying for this test for 2 months in hopes to score in the 90 percentile. However, I did write an OUTSTANDING essay to Darton College Nursing Committee (even though it wasn't required for the evening track) to increase my chances. Any tips on this TEAS test that you can give me will be awesome! Thanks

I took the TEAs at the end of August. I was very nervous because I only had two weeks to study. Besides studying the basic concepts in math, English, reading & science, I can say that make sure you get a good night's sleep the night before and have a good breakfast to keep you full. I was not able to take breaks so made sure I was full and well rested before the test. Good luck!!

I took the TEAS test in February (on my birthday actually, wonderful way to celebrate it haha), and I took it literally a day after I signed up for it. Very short notice due to other irrelevant reasons. I passed, and that's all I really needed to do (I don't really remember my score).
Keep it simple though, try not to stress too much, because IMO it's basic stuff, but it's stuff you either know or don't know. And like the other poster said, get a good night sleep and eat a good breakfast. And be positive about it!

I took my TEAS on Saturday as well and didn't really do that good. The book was useless, I don't think it helped me at all. Some of the questions had very little if anything at all to do with health care. My adjusted individual total score was 72%, I am so nervous. How did you do?

I would try the practice tests online to get used to the format of the test, they also go over the reasoning behind the answers. Don't stress out if you don't do as well on the practice tests, I took the TEAS 4.0 and TEAS V (long story) and did better on the actual test than the practice tests. The questions are similar and a few may even be the same. Good luck!
What was your score on TEAS V? Do you thing 72% and 3.85 GPA is good enough?

Can be, depending on the program you are applying to, as each one has its own minimum requirements, and then you are usually competing with a ton of other people, so it will depend on how your score stacks up to theirs. My program required a minimum of certain scores in each of the four sections, not a certain composite score. I see you find the book was useless, I am not certain which book you used, but if you ever feel you wish to retake to shoot for a higher score I cannot stress to you enough that the ATI TEAS V manual really is highly useful. I remembered literally nothing of any of the subjects minus the english sections, so I had to reteach myself all math and science from the ground up from that manual. I threw myself into it and had only six days, spent 8 hours a day, took the practice tests. I came out with an 84 composite. The biggest piece of advice I can offer anyone is DO NOT SECOND GUESS YOUR ANSWERS. You will do better than you think on the test, and overthinking can and does hurt. Best wishes to all!
Yey I got the letter of acceptance today! The stress is finally over!
