I'm In!!!!!!!!

Nursing Students General Students

I got my letter in the mail today and I'm in for the fall! So excited I can hardly stand it, but now very nervous!

Does anyone know anything about the Nursing Entrance Test? I have to take that in 3 weeks and knew nothing about it. Is there a study guide for this test that anyone has used? Is it really hard? Just trying to get a feel for how much preparation I need to do for the test and what it is going to be over. Thanks for any help you can give me!

Congrats!! It looks like a lot of us are getting in this time! I took the NLN, but I had to take it before I was accepted. I don't know about the one you're taking. Good luck!

Hey carlalogan---

Did you get into TWU? Congratulations!!!!! I could never get them to call me back about my missing transcript, but it doesn't really matter because I got into UTA, which was my first choice anyway.

Don't worry about the NET. I had to take it back in October for UTA, and it isn't bad at all. Just brush up on your math skills. It is basic algebra and reading comprehension. Nothing more than that.

It would have been neat to be in the same class as someone on this board, but I guess it isn't meant to be.

Congratulations on your acceptance---doesn't it feel great? I have a good friend that started TWU's program this semester, and she is really impressed. She says that it is kicking her butt, but she is enjoying it. ( she is also working full time, and she got married right before spring break---so needless to say, she has a lot on her plate).

Good luck to you.

Susan

p.s. There is a study guide for the NET---check with the library at your school. I know that UTA has one, and you can check it out---I'm not sure about TWU, but I'm sure that they have one. Don't worry about the test, you'll do fine.

Hello Carlalogan,

Congrats to you. I feel your excitement because I also just received my acceptane letter in the mail last month :)

I took the NET and it really isn't something to worry. The math section may be a problem if you aren't a strong math student. However, brushing up on your math skills would help. I purchased the NET study guide from a company called Educational Resources, Inc. They are the same people who create the exam. Everything that they state in the study guide is basically on the test. Their website address is http://www.eriworld.com

The study guide cost $27.50 (plus shipping and handling). I had them ship mine over night and I paid over $50. However, if you would like I could make copies of the study guide for you and then fax them to you.

Let me know :)

Thanks guys for all of the encouragement! Unequaled Beauty...thanks so much for the info on the website. I'm definitely going to order a copy because my skills definitely lack in math. that was very kind of you for the offer to fax it to me! Congrats to everyone for their letters too! We are probably at the best time besides graduation because we aren't being killed by the program yet...so we are really on a high :) :) :)

:roll Congrats to you all :roll

I am just about to finish my first semester and it has been a wild ride.. Definately NOT as bad as all the horror stories but stressful enough...

Enjoy your summer :)

Congratulations on your acceptance!!! I would think the math portion would mostly include conversions/ratio problems.

Good luck on your test.:)

Congratulations. Relax, we are all nervous (or at least the majority of us anyway) at some point of time or another. You will do fine. Good luck on your test.

Carla, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!

and GOOD LUCK w/ your exam.

Ana :)

CongratS!

TWU is a really good nursing school. Don't worry about the NET test...It's just an review exam to make sure you're prepared...from what I heard even if you didn't make the grades of the NET they just make you take an extra class to brush up your skills like subec said...

and again congrats!!!

HOORAY!!!!!!

I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!!! :balloons: :balloons:

You'll love it!

Julie:)

Congratulations! I am so very happy for you. I have not started applying to schools yet. Hopefully I will be joining you soon!

Why do you have to take the Nursing Entrance Test? Weren't you already accepted to a school? Is this a special kind of program you are in?
