I'm 5'4. I have large thighs, a bit of bubble butt, and my mid-section is less than desirable; oh, and I have a large chest area.
I am hard to fit when it comes to pants/jeans, which is why, when I do wear pants, I wear my lounging pants or something similar. Because of my belly size, I have to wear a bigger size pant if I want to be comfy, which ends up looking sloppy because the leg of the pants are way too big. I'm looking for a fit that is not snug on the waist but flexible and fits closer to the leg. I should add, too, that length can be an issue; petites are way too short and some of these other styles of pants are made for women who have legs 6 feet long.
Shirts are not so much of a problem. I have a curvy waist line, so shirts that are boxy do not flatter me at all; I wear more fitted or empire waist with a v-neck.
I start nursing school in September and we have to white scrubs. I've never even tried a pair of scrubs on. Cost is not an issue--I think. So if you can guide me in the right direction, that would be supreme!
Thanks.

Do you have to find your own scrubs or does your school make you purchase the scrubs through them? Unfortunately, scrubs are usually on of those things where you need to try on a bunch of brands yourself at a local store to see what works for you. Some brands have various styles of pants, too. Some brands that come to mind that you could try are Dickies, Urbane, Cherokee, or Grey's Anatomy.

I have Grey's Anatomy scrubs, which I really like the fit of. A few girls that are currently in my program (I start in Sept.) have recommended them for those who have a hard time fitting in traditional scrubs, and girls who are curvier. The bottoms come in regular and short/petite, and the tops are fitted, not boxy. They are a little pricier ($26-28 for each piece), but for me the flattering fit and the soft fabric were worth the price. I'm pretty sure they come in white. Good luck!

If cost is not an issue, why not have them custom made? Or buy regular scrubs and have them altered to fit? That way, they will really fit you well. :)

Do they make Grey anatomy scrub's in misses sizes now or are they still just junior sized? I tried a pair on last summer, I loved them but they were junior fit so they didn't fit quite right.
We are able to purchase through the school and/or on our own. I'm looking online for a store nearby and so far, it appears that stores are at least 50-70 miles or more from me--Nothing close.
I would love to have my clothing custom tailored/made, but doing so doesn't seem practical at this stage of my life.
Is there a Life Uniform near you?

i think you would be better off making the trip.....providing it is a good size place with variety.....
I'm willing to bet that there are closer stores in your area that might be hard to find in an internet search. You could try posting in your state's forum here and ask for local store recommendations.

Try Cherokee Workwear... style 4101. You've just described how I'm built, and that's the only style of pant that I'll wear. I've got them in just about every color they make. Love those pants. You can get them online through most uniform stores.
Heyyyy, there is one very close to me. I'll check it out, thanks.
