Im so freak out about the entrance exam at Greater Lowell Tech !!!

Hi y'all I'm taking the test this upcoming saturday (the 1st entrance test) at Greater Lowell and I will like some advices/opinions/essays topics of those who took it already....I'm just scared about the essay because I have no idea of the topic, if there's any choice of topic and English is my second language (I know everyone keep telling me I'm doing great but..it doesn't change that much), Please if you know anyone who's going there or went there inquire for me , please!!

P.S: How long does it take to be notify about your test results ?

What's up everyone?! I just found out I passed the entrance exam..(i know..I took it last minute :(..) and my interview is Thursday! How long did it take after your interview to receive an acceptance or denial letter? Thanks for the help!! I need to calm my nerves!! Lol

Thanks got the link @maddiex but they could be using different books that guy said a book list would be out what the beginning of june??...but i was comparing prices as well and some were cheaper else where and more expensive else where so idk prob safe to wait for the book list!!

For me it took only 2 weeks to get my acceptance letter in the mail. I know it is very nerve racking waiting for the results, and for me personally I braced myself and prepared myself for the denial letter to come in so I wasn't too disappointed/devastated and had a plan B if it did happen.

And even though you took it last minute there is always hope. I thought I was late too when I had to take it the second time in March. But please brace yourself too if you don't get in too so you aren't that disappointed ok.

Tips: get there a little early to stay in the car a little bit to breathe and collect yourself before you get in and make sure you have all your documents in hand (prepare the previous night with all the documents so you can just head off and go without worrying if you have everything.) Just look professional, be yourself, and be calm and collected. You will be mostly sitting and listening and feel free to ask some questions too to show interest.

Hi Annabans & Welcome!!

The interview is nothing really. Just make sure you have all of the things you need (paperwork) with you and give yourself extra time to get there and take a breather before the interview. He is a wicked nice guy, I was so anxious and nervous but worried for nothing. The interview was more about getting information than getting questioned. So just be prepared & relax the worst part was the test and you made it through that.

It took some time for me to get my letter in the mail. I got so anxious and I ended up calling. It took a month or so before I even knew. Although this was around the new year (holidays). But he said that we would get them within 2-3 weeks. & It definitely isn't too late. I wish you the best of luck you will do great!!

Thanks for all of the positive energy everyone! You were right, the interview was not bad at all he is so nice! He said I should get a letter by the end of next week..gonna seem like a year! I wanted days because I work 3-11 but he said days is filled so my only option is nights! But it's ok I have time before the. (If I get in) to fix my schedule. I'm so jealous of you all! Lol I hope I will w joining you in August! But congratulations guys :)

I ended up going for Nutritional science (BS). The good news is that I got accepted for the Fall 2013. It will be challenging. I saw it is harder than BSN. I will be taking mostly science courses. At least this will help me with nursing! If I decide to go for nursing, it won't take 4 years! since I will be taking all the science courses. I will certainly go for BSN after Nutritional science.

I wanted to apply for LPN in Greater Lowell Technical high school, but I know I really love healthy food and so I went for Nutritional science. I will be going for Nursing after! Good luck to you in your career!! You'll do succeed :)
