Well I know that many of you will understand so I will share my excitement here :) We have been on summer vacation for a few weeks now(we had summer session for Psych) and I am so excited for Fall quarter to start! I have been waiting for L&D for forever.

First day back is on Wednesday I start with Peds then we'll switch to OB later. I was excited, but I'm getting more nervous the closer it gets. Not all that excited about watching ladies have babies honestly, but knowing how long that can take I might not even seen a single baby be born.

Maybe you will get someone like me. With my second child from the time I had my first contraction at home till the time she was placed in my arms (at the hospital) was a little shy of 3 hours. I am sure there are many women who even have shorter births. Have fun in L&D, I can't wait till I start that rotation!
Oh Im betting you will see plenty babies born!
Im a peds tech and have to say that I LOVE it. I have always been certain that I want to work in L&D, but peds is definitely a close 2nd runner. I hope you guys enjoy your L&D/Peds rotations as much as I plan to :)

Have fun! L&D was my favorite rotation, which was a shock to me, because I'm not interested in babies, but wow, it was a great experience seeing so many babies born (I saw a lot of births!). I wanted to cry a few times along with the families!

I start my OB rotation next week and I'm really looking forward to it . I'd love to work in L&D one day. I have four kids so I can't wait to experience it now from the other side. The only thing is, this will be my first semester of clinicals (I also have a LTC facility), so what I was looking forward to the most will be over first .
