:rolleyes:Ok...SO I am curious because at least once a month, I don't want to be a nurse. Maybe something triggers that or IDK, but I actually think I could be a singer. Or just travel the world...but I would need alot of money for that. Maybe a farmer- I know sounds crazy but...sometimes I just want to be free like that.
I went to school for 6 years and studied art...then I made the switch because I knew it would be a "fall-back career.
Art is an unpredictable market so...
Now...wait a minute...for all you hecklers out there, I enjoy being a nurse, and this "fall-back" thing was when I first started. My view has changed, so don't post anything passing judgement.
So....yeah.... If you weren't a nurse what would you be? (esp. in this dry desert of an economy)
Some kind of job where I wouldn't be responsible for the care/safety/life of another human being.
My first-ever job was a nanny and I worked in child care right up until I started working in health care. Recently while looking for a job, I decided that if I didn't get hired in any of the various health care jobs I applied for, I would take some random retail or waitress job just for the heck of it.
But as far as alternate career.... some kind of writing/editing or marketing. Loved working on the newspaper in HS and I'm pretty persuasive. :)

Oh, now I'm just going to cry! Working with illuminated morificecripts with those gorgeously decorated covers from the time of Eleanor of Aquitaine or the Wars of the Roses, researching Old English and French tales, ballads, etc. - I would chew off my left arm to get a job like that!
I'm such a geek....
