If you all don't mind me asking....how old were you when you started working as an lvn/rn?
i was only 21 yrs old when i became an rn.
that was in 1977. wow seems funny writing that now lol:lol2:
wow...rn @ 21? awesome! i'm 28, just graduated from lvn school in august (passed boards 2 weeks later, same month, woo hooo!! :balloons:) and started working on rn through excelsior...well, just waiting for the books to get here so i can start. my goal is to become an rn at 29...not too old, i think.

lol yup straight out of matriculation college and right into nursing.
i wanted to be a nurse since i was knee high to a grass hopper!! lol
i was hospital trained, i annoyed them so much they took me on. they wanted me to finish my second year of matricuation but i wanted to nurse so badly it hurt.
i am blessed that they could see that is all i wanted to do. never regretted it for a second.
i wish you all the very best with your future plans working as an rn.
