I don't know if I am just hard hearted after so many years of nursing, or if I have just seen too many malingerers, or just too many people who blame their problems on anything and everyone but themselves. But if I answered half the posts on here with what I really feel, I think I would be thrown off. :uhoh3:

I liked the one....."My small local hospital paid for my schooling if I worked for them for four years.....now I've grown up and I want to go play in the city...i think they should let me go..." REALLY?????:flmngmd:

or, "i signed the contract and took the bonus, but they fired my boyfriend (rt who was caught running drugs over the us/mexico border) so i'm just going to take the money and run." astonished when they filed suit to get their money back.

In a former thread about this and quitting for greener pastures right after orientation was completed, I was shocked at the number of people who had no problem with it. "Looking out for #1" (and ***** everybody else) attitude run rampant.

I know and it's showingin their work and lack of dedication and then this student was angry when she was told to stand up and own her responsibility. Then she wanted to know if there were any hospitald that would give her "tuition reimbursement" so she could pay off her loans....:uhoh3:. Like I would hire her....."So, like, I bailed on the place that gave me the money for my four year education, but I don't want ot work there.....could you pay them for me????" Jeesze.....:uhoh3:

I prefer the term "seasoned professionals"....teehee:D....but you are correct! At least we can spell and perform math calculations..and therefore have not killed too many of our patients over the years!;)

Old age is not a disease........it is triumph, especially in this profession.
