Im wondering how your school works....if you are in a 2 year RN program, how many times can you fail a semester before they kick you out of the program for good?

In my program if you fail any two classes, you're out.

You can't fail a semester in my program. You can fail 1 class 1 time. We have 2-3 classes a semester.

Can't fail any here without re-applying for admission. Most, but not all, are permitted to come back and repeat one semester.

First failure you can retake in 6 months with the class behind you. 2nd failure and you are out, have to reapply and would start from the very beginning of the program over again (regardless of where you were when you failed the 2nd class)
That's how it is for us to with the reapplying. Our first med/surg class, everyone we lost re-applied the next semester and none of them got back in. 2 of them did the semester after that so now they are 2 semesters behind from their original class.

We are allowed to repeat one semester that we recieve a D in theory. An F in theory, a second D in theory (same course or different course then first D) or a failed clinical, and we are out of the program and would have to re-apply.

You can repeat 1 semester, but you have to reapply and you are out for a whole year. There is no guarantee that you get to return if you are too far down the waiting list.

In my program anything under a 70% is considered failing, and if you even fail one thing your done for. Yeah..talk about some pressure.

If you end the term with less than 75% average on tests or don't pass pharm, skills, and clinical, bye bye-o. You can apply again for the next year but you better have a good reason for failing. I don't think anyone gets a third chance.
