I did not stalk the mail-man. Six months ago I went to the mailbox every single day for a month and there was no letter. By the time I received a letter, I was told I was not selected for the class that begins August 2006. Plus I would be "re-evaluated" with 100 other qualified applicants in the Fall for the class that begins January of 2007 (only 40 spots available, 30 of which go to the re-evaluated people). :stone
This morning I went to the mailbox to pick up the mail. It was collecting in my box for a week or two (I honestly forget)! To my surprise my letter was also in the box with a postmark of last week. :smackingf
My letter is also thin like the last time. :uhoh21: So I slowly opened it and read....
"Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that you have been selected .........." This means I AM A STUDENT NURSE!!! :monkeydance:

Congrats!! I know how excited you must be and can't wait to feel it for myself--I am still "not stalking" the mailman. I have been leaving the windows open so I can hear when they drive by!! Best wishes to you!

Congratulations! I think my school originally didn't tell us when the earliest letters would be sent for fear the mailman would be hounded! I was told that we would be notified via mail by the end of January. But I got notified at the beginning of December last year. What a wonderful Christmas gift I received!

Congratulations!!!! That is great news. Just for the record...I never stalked my mailman, I meant it as a joke:wink2: because most of us feel so anxious and excited while we are waiting. My son actually brings in the mail when he gets off the school bus everyday and my daughter gets it on Saturdays. It was kind of cute because she got to get the mail the day my letter came and I let her open it and read it to me....kids read very sloooowly, but the word Congratulations never sounded so sweet!!
Best of luck in nursing school!!

Oh Congratulations, I know that this was absolutely killing you. Its funny how us second rounders never expect the letter and when we get it, its that much sweeter.

Congrats!! Write yourself a note describing how excited and happy you are now so that you can read it during a particularly trying moment in school. Good luck!
