I passed my lpn test on the 8th attempt

Published

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let you all know the test was a struggle but I finally PASSED. ME an Official LPN Nurse!! To all of you that are skeptical about the PVT, believe!! It worked for me. I just would like to thank everyone on this nursing forum for all the inspirations, all the encouragement, all the prayers. I did not think I would ever see the day that I would finally see a "PASS" on the Pearvue Site. This was my 8th try taking this test and I never felt so comfortable taking it. Yes it was my 8th time and I passed. The thing is, is that I never gave up from trying to take the test. Sure there was times when I had taken a test and received a Fail I was discourage and thought that maybe nursing was not for me but deep in my heart that is all I ever wanted to be. I cried, got sick, was depressed, isolated myself from my family and friends from the whole thing. I got back on the settle after I got all the anger and frustration out and started studying again, and again, and again, and again. It is hard to study when the results really do not tell you what questions you are exactly answering wrong, so you have to study all over again, like brand new and hope and prayer that you are studying the right materials to pass the test. I graduated from my nursing program Dec. 2004 and every year since I have been taking the test at least once a year. It costed a lot every time I re-registered for my test $200 and sometimes I made myself brought but I still paid for because nursing is what I wanted and I was not going to let the test get the best of me even though it did a couple of 7 times. Please to all out there still studying and taking the test, don't give up, don't let your dreams of being a nurse slip through your fingers. If I can do it you can too!! God is GOOD! Pray and keep praying because your prayers will finally be answered. Everytime I failed my test, someone would tell me, it is just not your time and I was like yes it is because I am going broke here. This year was my time, God answered my prayers. I don't think I would have done so well on my test if it wasn't for this forum. Everyone is willing to help in all ways possible to help you pass the NCLEX test rather LPN or RN. When Suzanne's plan went away because people was abusing it. I was terrified but everyone pulled together on here and gave all kinds of great studying information. This is how I studied: I studied with Saunder's 3rd edition (Suzanne's plan one required for you to study from one book and one book only), I made flashcards for Spiderman, Mrs. Wee, VChips, My chicken hez TB, ABG's, all the lab values, most used medications. I had flashcards of everything almost. I studied diseases of all sorts and the most important thing of all is that I got almost all my studying material off of this site "Wonderful". I could not take 2 to 3 100 questioned test a day but I did questions. I studied the content alot and once I was good on that part I went to the next section of questions, answers and rationals. I have been studying since Feb. 2009 when I received my 7th Failing score. Keep your heads up everyone that are still needing to pass this test, you can do it. I DiD!!!

God is GOOD!! Pray, Pray and Pray some more, they will finally be answered!! God bless everyone that are in the process of taken their test!!

Congrats! i have failed my test 2 times. I graduated in august 2010 and I am really depressed about it. Reading your story has really helped me. I'm not the only one out here going through the same thing. Thanks!
