well, "graduation" was thursday night and this is the first chance i've had to post...my family had a party for me friday and another friend had a party saturday. we received our certificates on thursday (along with our temporary work permits), and i'm having a heck of a time finding a job. i know the right one will come along, but i need to go to work now!!! i've got bills to pay and kids to feed. i don't know what to do with my time, with no studying to do...anyone else ever felt this way?? i'm sure there are. we have an nclex review in a couple of weeks, and i've already started looking through the questions, but it feels odd to not have to study for a test this week.
i'm taking some well deserved time off from school, but plan on beginning taking prereqs for lvn-to-bsn transition in january. good luck to all those just starting out, in the middle of it all, and those finishing up!!

I assume that GVN means graduate vocational nurse, correct?
Anyway, best of luck and many congratulations on a hard earned achievement. You will do well in all you do. You are an inspiration for all of us still trudging along the thick waters of nursing school.

shonda, :balloons: congratulations!:balloons:
look forward to see your post about being an lvn. yes, it felt wierd not having to constantly study and prepare for lectures/clincal. all the best in your job search.
thank you all very much!!
imnrn2b...yes, gvn stands for graduate vocational nurse...texas and california are the only two states that have gvn/lvn...the other 48 have gpn/lpn.
again, thanks for all your well wishes!!

YES! You rock! Congrats, and good luck with the NCLEX-PN. My sister just passed hers, and gives this advice: "It's all about critical thinking!" Good luck getting a job, your perfect position will find you!
